Advice on faulty Apple Macbook pro which is in warranty please.

I have an Apple Macbook pro, in warranty, it's under a year old but has Apple Care as well.

Does anyone know how long Apple will take to fix it?
Is it better to get Apple to collect it and fix it or get an official Apple reseller (Stormfront) to fix it?
If there are a certain number of faults before they will replace it? Do they have to be the same fault reoccurring or can it be an accumulation of faults?
If the computer has caused a fault in another Apple item which is out of warranty will they fix that as well?

The issues:

The screen gets corrupt a lot, especially when using the internet, at least every day and I have to close down Safari and start it up again or restart the computer. I can't take screenshots most of the time as they look corrupt.

The computer has restarted itself several times unexpectedly.

The charger is SO hot, I can touch it for 3 - 5 seconds, any more and it hurts (charger already been sent back once).

The bottom of the laptop gets very hot, can't put it against skin for more than a few seconds.

The USB port has screwed up 2x iphone and 1x ipad batteries, after charging from the USB the battery life of a brand new iphone 4 went from up to a week to less than 24 hours, same happened to an iphone 3G (out of warranty) and ipad...now put 2 + 2 together and worked out the common denominator.

Lots of green circle/same as MS egg timer when just browsing the internet.

I'm fed up with it and can't go to an Apple store so need to either send it off or send it to an official Apple reseller to get it fixed (Stormfront), any advice?

Thanks, but unfortunately my nearest Apple store is two hours drive away, I have an Apple reseller in town but can't get there myself so I would have to ask a friend to go but don't know how good they are. Other option seems to be getting Apple to collect it, but just don't know what the best option is.
Stupid computer :( I bought an Apple on the premise that they are well built and shouldn't break, I think I must have got a lemon :(

Is the apple reseller KRCS? they'll only send it off for you on your behalf. and it may take longer than vyou doing it yourself.

No, the reseller is stormfront.
I think when they fixed the charger a couple of months ago they sent it to one of their own service centres, not an Apple service centre but not sure if you get the same service or likelihood of a replacement if X number of faults etc. or even the same standard of technicand and service etc.
I also want to persuade them that as the computer made the iPhone and ipad batteries faulty they will look at them including the one out of warranty (eg typing this message has taken the iPad battery from 100% battery to 97% battery, wtf!)

fwiw, it's a notebook not a laptop and should not be used on skin due to the heat it creates. especially with it being aluminium too. that aside, it sounds like a power fault causing it to restart which can be caused by a dud battery. take it to an official apple store genius who'll sort it there and then. it's rare that they send them away. (again, fwiw, posted on my daily used 2007 macbook with no issues at all...)

Yeah, I know that but when the heat is going through jeans and still being uncomfortable and also coming up the top onto near where the keys are it's not very good.
Hopefully all the restarts, force shut downs and corruptions are all listed somewhere and they will be able to see the issues straightaway, I'm just slightly nervous how I can broach the USB screwing up 3 Apple items, 2 of which are in warranty so they will be fine, but I have never heard of any charging battery issues before. Hey ho, I'll be phoning them on Monday, such a shame the nearest Apple Store is 2 hours away otherwise that would make life easier.
Thanks for the advice, I think I'll phone Stormfront first and see what they have to suggest, if no luck I'll phone Apple.

Apple store is two hours away :(
I bought it from the Apple Store in Bath and they were so helpful, I'd take it there in a shot if it was closer to me, I can't recommend them highly enough there, super customer service. That's a thought actually, the manager's name was Andy as I had a few issues with gift cards etc, I might see if I can speak to him and even get the laptop sent there....oooh, that sounds like a good idea.
