Sure this has prob come up many times from different people so please bare with me. My pc died today and I quickly need to buy another one and being the start of summer there doesn't seem to be that many great deals/sales out there.

I need a pc that I can do photoshop on primarily. Not worried about gaming. Must have decent memory and a big hard drive as my photo files are BIG!

looking to spend six hundred pounds or less if possible.

Any ideas?

You need to give a price as to what you want to spend before i can give you a heads up PC's are now cheap and memory is very cheap the only issue is is that very soon Intel will release there new cpu and with that full over to ddr3 so if you want the latest you need to wait if your happy with a decent spec machine today there are some great buys about.

Photoshop doesn't require massive resources so in theory you could get a laptop and a usb HDD or even a netbook.

As I said in my op, about six hundred pounds is what I want to spend. Would like to get it now so I can sneak it into last year's tax return and write it off.

Is there going to be a big change when the new cpu comes out then? Maybe I should do some research on that? Always the problem when buying a new computer, they are out of date the day after you buy them!

Ac netbook? Photoshop would run on one but very very slowly, I think you underestimate the resources full photoshop requires.
