Hi,

I am going to replace the standard 305w psu on my Dell 5150 and am looking at between 400 and 500w power. I have come across one on Ebuyer:

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=21803198868&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3Jldmlld3M=&product_uid=106452

Nice and cheap with positive reviews, but is it compatible and does it have all the necessary connections required.

Or if anybody else has upgraded there standard psu in the 5150 please point me in the direction of what to get.

Thanks guys

You need to be careful - by memory Dell usually have a proprietary PSU, I'm not sure how easy it is to convert a standard PSU.

Whatever you do Rockstar do not skimp on the cost of a power supply..cheap ones are prone to failure and can fry your PC components.

According to the August Computer Shopper test of PSUs the best buy is the Seasonic S12-430W from ebuyer at £41.

For those on a tight budget it recommends the Siver Power SP-400P1B 400w at £26 from www.savastore.com
