well it isnt just about changing a date on a ticket is it, maybe the flights for the date you now want are dearer than what you booked, did you buy cheap flights buy any chance, have you looked into just buying a new flight if you think it will be cheaper

I dont think thats too much really.....how much was the ticket to begin with??? im sure its usually that to do something petty like change a name or something

to be fair, theres nothing you can really do....if you need to change the date they arent gonna do it for free when they can get money for nothing are they

yeah.. i think you got off lightly!! Most carriers (with cheeap tickets) wont let you change your flights after booking! AA normally charge $100 so how they got to £95 I dont know!! Maybe your new date is not available in the particular ticket class!!

£95 is cheap

thanks for the replys - i purchased the ticket at £260 return and now its gone up to £330. i thought the charge was only £50 as per the post above, but it seems now to be £95.

well it will be $100 plus fare difference.. ur lucky.. if you'dhave booked thru ebuyer or something, they'd charge £50 of their own admin charge as well!!

So there's £70 difference in flights, so they're effectively only charging you £25 to change the date, which isn't too bad considering it could be over $100...
