Advice needed on mobile phone deals please!

Hi, Im so confused and so wondered if anyone out there could give me some advice.
Im currently with Tmobile and my contract is soon due and upgrade. I have been with Tmobile for many years and pay £19 a month for 250 mins and 100 texts, which is about right for me. But I am not happy with Tmobile and have been wanting to change networks for a few years, however no other network can seem to compete with their price plan. I will , I am sure be approached by them soon with a slightly better offer to try to get me to stay with them, But the signal is so bad where I need my phone most (at home and at work) that I need to hang out of the window most of the time and it still cuts off! Very frustrating!
I have been looking for a few years to change and there is never anything that comes close. I have been checking recently and asked in a couple of impartial shops and One place said no network deal like it under £25 and the other said 3 do a similar, but I have heard from many people that 3 are not good and I should stay clear of them. I am very confused and would appreciate some feedback from you good people out there on your experiences and what you would do.
I am not too bothered about the handset, just a basic Nokia would be good as I dont need it to do anything apart from , make and recieve calls, take a few photos and the odd video.
Thanks for reading..........What do you think?

Hi, I would personally stay away from 3 as their customer services is really poor, I have personally spent hours on the phone to them trying to resolve issues with my phone only to be sent round in circles with no positive outcome. I am now with Vodafone and have superb signal almost always and the customer service has been excellent. hope that this helps

Is this suitable to your needs?http://shop.vodafone.co.uk//shop/price-plans/18-months-200-mins-unlimited-texts-20

Orange have done an offer the last few January's at £15 with something like you're on now, I have no idea if they'll do next year or not though. . .

One thing I would say, no network will guarantee you coverage inside buildings, they can't the building will restricted the signal to some extent. It'll depend on where the cell tower is in relation to where you work/live. Best bet, talk to the other people you work with and see who gets the best signal with which network (its also down to handset, some have really bad aerials). . .

It seems nobody has a good word to say about 3!
The Vodafone one does look good but I think I will need 300 minuites more like what I am on, that may be just not quite enough for me.
Thank you anyway

O2 gets good signal most places from what i've found, better than t-mobile was round here anyway.

£20 can get you 600 mins and 1000 texts, plus another free bolt on..

My post doesnt appear to have worked, maybe cause it had a link, if so try going here

£20 gets you 600 mins and 1000 texts, and from my experience o2 are the best..

wow that o2 sim only is a good deal, I then buy my own handset, yes?
Sorry , I am not very good at all this, I have always been on contract.

Yes, your right. Any unlocked or sim free or O2 phone will work with the O2 deal. Its very hard to beat. But check you've O2 coverage where you work/live. . .

Yeah you have to get own phone :)

Once you have the best deal you can find, go back to TMobile before you take it up and they will probably beat it by a large margin - you may have to ask for a 'port code' (to transfer yiour number to new network) first, to show them you mean business................

Yes, that is part of the problem, every year they come up with a good deal for me which persuades me to stay with them, then I get cross because the signal is so bad and wish I had stuck to my guns and changed network!:x

Sorry to ask, but, the sim only deals, I will still be under a contract? yes?
Would that mean If I decide to get internet with them I get a good deal? I think I have heard that with o2, if you have mobile you get half price internet or something like that.

Yes its still a contract - but only requiring 30 days to cancel

And yes your entitled to cheaper broadband with it, if its available in your area :)
