hi folks, i know its a long shot, but im after some help getting some new rims for my boxster s on an 02 plate.

i currently have some gt3 alloys on it and the dges have gone a bit scabby where the lacquer is lifting so thought id have a change, but its not all that straight forward!!!

ive seen some 7.5j x 18 et 50 for the fronts, and 10j x 18 et 65 for the rears, but i have no idea if these will fit, can you help?

many thanks

mark

Get them refurbed be cheaper than buying a new set.

You need to check the PCD.

Boxster 2.5, 2.7 & 3.2

PCD
5x130
Offset
49 to 52
Bore
71.5

Looks like rears may cause issue

youd be suprised!!!! its about 450 to get them refurbed, theyre the split rim style and cost a fortune to get done. figured selling them on would offset the costs.
#3
so if these rears have a 65 offset does that mean id need spacers on them? im not too up on wheels im afraid so could screw this one up quite royally!!!

You could always save the cash & put towards a proper Porsche
#5
hahahaha it has a porsche badge and fits my golf clubs in it which the 996 wouldnt, plus i couldnt afford one at the same age or mileage as a boxster so went for the practical one.

plus its only for playing in at a weekend, what sort of porsche do you have then?

lol I thought it you said it hehe :-D

Hmm yeah splits are a lot dearer.

Spacers would help but to go from 52 to 65 is quite a jump, you may then have trouble with arches or your nuts (ooh matron) wont get enough thread on them.

You could be really cheeky and nip down a porsche garage and say your thinking of upgrading your wheels and ask them what options you have.
