Advice on car hire over Christmas

For about a week over Christmas I would like to hire a car as I am busy at work but want to go out and see family as much as possible as well.

So any recommendations as for companies for a good price and considering I'm 23 and thus don't want to pay extortionate young drivers premium either.

Cheers, £153 for a Matiz or similar or £165 for a corsa or similar for 7 days. Not too bad I suppose (never rented a car before).

May well be cheap Xmas deals nearer the time. Make sure you double check any hire car for damage before you take it out.My belief is that these companies make their money on customers deposits and bogus damage claims. Based on my experience on a car hire firm based at Edinbugh Airport.

Ah fair enough, cheers. Well if I go for it I'll take photos of the car then as well.

Just make sure all dents, damage and wheel conditions are correct on the contract before signing for it.

Cheers guys will remember to check.

Thanks DLM, yeah doing about 60 hours a week in my new position as Bar Manager for Young's Dial Arch. It's good fun and good to be learning a new skill/trade, just tired ATM as doing the hours at work, and have courses for the job, alongside doctors and hospital appointments for my migraines.

How about you?

Ah cool somewhere nice I hope? We just booked an all inclusive week to Tunisa for December as it was cheap and we need a holiday.

I'll try not too!
