I just bought an Iron horse maverick 1 2007 model for £150. I dont know the complete spec but what little I do know is listed.

# FORK - RST 191-T7 80mm travel
# CRANK - Suntour XCC T102
# REAR DERAILLEUR - Shimano TX30
# SHIFTERS - Shimano EF-50 EZ-Fire
# BRAKES - Alloy Linear pull

Its brand new aswell. Was it worth what I paid??

If that's what you paid then it's what it was worth to you
so the simple answer is - Yes it was worth it

The kit on it suggest you maybe just your moneys worth, so unless the frame is pretty special, or the wheels are decent, I'd say you didn't get a bargain

I recently bought a Kona Cowan for £155 so i would say no...
but there are only two Iron horse maverick 1's on eBay atm and they both going for £180 delivered BIN, which suggests like for like you had a bit of a bargain.


Where did you get that? Is that a jump bike?

I just needed a replacement for my old broken down hardtail. I rarely go off-road and use it mostly for going into town and the gym.

Well alloy frame is good plastic pedals aren't, sounds tho you paid a fair price.
