i have just ordered for myself a 10" memory foam mattress, this is the best you can buy and have paid a super price for it, have you looked at memory foam mattresses?

Thanks for your reply, Yes I have looked into them, but quite a few people have said they can be too warm! I used to have a memory foam topper, and found it too hot in summer!

i'm moving into a new house in february, and need a new mattress as a result, so i'm watching this thread with interest.. anyone have any recommendations for good retailers (online or otherwise)?

i can get quidco with http://www.sleepingsolutions.co.uk and http://www.bedworld.net - anyone bought from either of them?

hmmm, this seller has 100% positive feedback, which is very encouraging.. the deals seem too good to be true, though! £139 for a memory foam double mattress?? can there really be no catches??

After sleeping on one of these in a New York Hotel, I had one shipped over it wasnt cheap, but has been worth every penny.

you've just linked to a retailer, not a specific mattress.. they sell loads, including ones that are easily available in the UK (e.g. Sealy) http://www.staffordforum.com/img/smilies/confused.gif

which mattress did you get? i'm intrigued by a mattress that's so good you felt the need to import it from the US!

interesting, thanks for the info, sosolidpoo.. out of curiosity, why do they recommend you leave it for 24hrs? is that to get rid of the "chemical" smell that i had read about, that can come with new memory foam mattresses?

i can vouch for the sub 200 quid foam mattresses on ebay, got one about18 months ago, think paid 130 notes for it, never had a bit of back pain since, used to wake up with painful lower back every single morn til i got it. It came vacuum packed rolled up like a sleeping bag lol, u break the seal then let it re-flate for an hour or so then its good to go!

well, this has pretty much cemented it for me.. two unique reports, singing their praises - i can't see any reason to spend £300 getting one from a "normal" retailer, frankly! was it the same ebay seller you got yours from, kungfu?

loving your avatar, btw http://www.staffordforum.com/img/smilies/emot-quagmire.gif lol
