thank you, yeah its worth a couple of hundred so will do that too.

ive always been a bit worried about selling abroad but thought i'd give it a go, as long as i get the money and i send the parcel correctly and signed for then shouldnt be any probs

I've used International Signed For many times and usually it's quick and really good. However, in the past I usually found that the delivery takes ages (but just to Italy). So also consider a courier...

Please , please, please make sure you thoroughly check out the Terms and Conditions for both International Signed For and Airsure.

You must make sure you have exactly the right cover on insurance and especially so if Your buyer has paid by Paypal.
Also I nternational Signed for does NOT totally guarantee a signature in some countries and is not trackable after leaving this country in many instances.

The whole International post system is fraught with problems IF and I stress IF something goes wrong. MAny International buyers are now fully aware of how to "play" the system and if you are sending a valuable item you need to take considerable care that you do not get scammed.

Here is a link to the Royal Mail International Signed For page but you will also need to follow other links to get the full T & C's. They don't make it easy for you to gain the whole picture and in my experience Post Offices have very little knowledge either.

Bottom line is check and check again BEFORE you send, the minute it leaves your possession is too late !

Best of luck !

Please don't use the Italian postal service! - The Italians don't!

Instead use someone like DHL.

I have sent to and received stuff from Italy and always used a courier.
Some ebay sellers refuse to deal at all with Italy.
Be cautious.

Just Google "courier to italy" and it will bring you up many choices to compare.

Here's one for instance (haven't used them so no recommendation) 10% off for ebayers.
