Scratches cannot be removed from the lenses of eyeglasses without effecting the quality of the lense, you could shop around the opticians. Try Boots.

Has the misses thought of contacts, cuz they are around £10 a month and you get free aftercare and free replacements if you loose one etc, I am with specsavers and find their care realy brill, you can get a free month trial I think and you just have to get used to putting them in then never look back, you can use the scratched ones as backup or get new on offer :)

have u tried www.glassesdirect.co.uk? prices there seem cheap, it's online all u need is the prescription ... 08453472020. u can upload your photo and test the glasses styles, and there's a guide to help you re:frame width etc. i havent needed to purchase anything yet but seems a better range too.

I only use disposable lenses, i can't be bothered cleaning them.

I go to Tesco's, Costco or Asda for mine, they work out a lot cheaper and you don't have to sign a contract.

I wear glasses most of time and recommend that she get's them scratch-resistant coated next time it usually stops scratches.

I'm thinking of getting laser correction done, i've got an assessment in a couple of week's.

My wife gets her glasses from http://goggles4u.com/ . They take some time to come but they are great and so cheap that she keeps a spare pair at all times. Got the site from a few posts on moneysavingsexpert site.

i bought my glasses this time round from Boots. They offer glasses insurance for £20 per year. I've got two pairs and they are both insurance for the £20 and are insured for unlimited replacements/repairs. Bit late for your pair now but might help in future purchases.
