I ordered some wardorbe doors 3 months ago from AC Bedrooms (www.acebedrooms.co.uk). After missing two delivery dates and very strange excuses they offered me a refund which sounded strange as well. The refund never turned up despite them claiming they sent a cheque. I am now going to take them to the small claims court which is a pain in itself but i was wondering if anyone has experience in doing something similar? I have only taken Llyods to court because of my bank charges and think it would be slightly different. Thanks for your advice in advance!!

if you paid on your credit card you can get a refund off them without having to mess about with court

*only if it was a purchase of £100 i think

i took a company to court last year, won but it was a lot of hard work and can be quite stressful even though i don't stress easily, what do you want to know?

Are they still trading? If not the court process would be fruitless.

Do you know the company details behind the website?

Always take consumer matters to Consumer Direct, not only will they advise on action you can take but they may build a dossier on the firm and take further action - 08454 040506

There is nothing stressful at all, I have done it many times.

Fill out the seven screens online, pay the fee and sit back.

I know you might have ordered over the phone but that website does not instill a tiny bit of confidence in the 'company' I would never buy from a website which does not display an address in the Contact page, does not give any info as prices, and does not have any T&C's ;-)
Do you have a receipt?

it took over a year to get back the original £85 plus court fees etc which came to about £150 in the end. the company involved tried every trick in the book including getting very shady with the truth on several events, in the end i scanned and published the cc judgement papers on the web to get revenge lol
i suppose the stress was because i was not a lawyer and not used to dealing with the intricate stunts they threw at the case and of course at first i did not know the threats they were throwing at me were actually empty.
