Yeah you can buy couplers to connect two lengths of cable together (presuming you mean the coaxial cable, which I think you do). You can pick them up for about £1 from places like Wilkinson and B&Q.

Edit: Obvioulsy you don't need this many, but you can buy a pack of 10 in Screwfix for £1.20

Yes, a coupler - then buy a small cable to make up the distance.

Rememebr this is just the cable so you would need plugs at the end also. You may be able to take them off the cable which was too short but often these are now molded plastic so cannot be removed.

If your looking to just extend the cable you have already installed get a coupler as stated before with a pre-made length of cable, which have the connections alrady fitted, like this:http://www.screwfix.com/prods/31484/Electrical/TV-Range/Leads-Connectors/Coaxial-Lead-Plug-to-Plug-White-2m;jsessionid=0H4TJF4NWAEAYCSTHZOSFEY?ts=45570

that cable appears to be for stuff like Sky or Virgin that run via cable and not your standard tv cable. You would be best going to wilkos or wilkingsons and buying a 10 - 20m pack its like £6. That comes with all the tools to extend the cable (cable, tacks and joiner).

You can buy aerial extension kits in Poundland.

Which is actually better than standard co-ax.

Of course it will work, what makes you think that it will not.?

To be honest the OP would be better making the join using " F " connectors with a male/female connection, it will not pull apart like the standard co- ax joins.
