Never flown either, but know when we got stranded in Singapore that Air France was the only airline there who refused to put passengers up in hotels.

That said, the other one is Arab owed and sponsors a small northern football club. I wouldn't fly them either! X) (but out of the 2 it would be them.)

Where you off to anyway?

To be honest we couldn't fault the service. All 4 flights were bang on time leaving and I think all arrived earlier than expected.
The seating on our planes were in a 2-4-2 system and we always had seats in the middle 4 which was annoying because I like looking out of the window. But we then found out that the plane had 2 cameras which were attached underneath the plane and a pilots eye view, and these could be watched on your own TV set in the chair in front. We had the pilots view of take off and landing which was very good.

The food and drink was ok, didn't come around that often with the drinks though but if you belled them they would bring you another wine/beer when ever you wanted. Food, they gave us a menu which had 3 choices of meal, usually a mixture of English, Arabic or vegetarian dishes, plus other snacks through out the journey.

I found Abu Dhabi airport very disappointing for somewhere that is a Capital City, not much to do here other than stretch your legs. A small scattering of shops/cafes.

The entertainment was ok on the TV. Loads of films, TV shows, music, games to watch/play.

Very nice. Been there a few times. Nice people, lots to see and do and nice and cheap. Make sure you get a nice body massage. I expect much will have changed since my three trips there. (like an airport on koh samui!)

We were hoping to go ourslves this year. (to meet up with our friends who live in Melbourne who we were with in Bali.)

Im envious.

I flew to Colombia with Air France in March and found service excellent; however on a flight to Montreal it was abysmal.

Different routes use different aircraft and that has a huge difference on the service. Use http://www.seatguru.com for information on the aircraft being used and reviews from passengers.

as your a SKY subscriber and a follower of some third rate London club.. they would not let you on the flight.. only world domination supporters :p

Mr Booth you may want to consult the following web site so that you can choose which seat in First would be the best option
