Everyday NATS say the air ban will be lifted so I'll wait until I see some planes leaving before I believe it.

But fingers crossed they are right this time as I have a flight on Thurs

Was it closed? I'm sure i've read somewhere that Ireland was still allowing flights to IOM? Might be mistaken but...

Question... If the airspace in Scotland / North England is open at 7am then where are they going to fly too?

America? Africa? The rest of the world that isn't closed.

BREAKING NEWS: VOLCANIC ACTIVITY INCREASED IN LAST FEW HOURS.

Don't hold your breath.

You dont really expect them to not fly for much longer, flights will resume
we will just have to keep our fingers crossed nothing crashes, because if it does, flights will be down for months

Thomson has just announced that they will not be operating any outbound flights up to and including 21st.
even though airspace is now clear...they are priotorising customers who need to get home

It looks like aircraft are flying over Europe if this is to be belived.

The situation is worsening apparently.

Although NATS have advised that some northern airports will open tomorrow, I doubt many flights will take off.
