they have a hard run in but i hope he does it
better having teams in premiership with 55000 sellouts rather than half empty stands

agree:thumbsup:

but he is in a win win situation -

if they do go down he can say he tried and if they stay up he will be hailed a hero

i really hope they do manage to stay up - class team - great fans

As above, probably the ideal opportunity for Shearer to test himself in management - get relegated and blame it on the poor squad & signings by DW, succeed and enhance already legendary status.

Hope he keeps Newcastle up - for starters they aren't in the three I predicted would go down at the start of the season! (WBA, Boro and Stoke). Think they do have the toughest run in of all though so it'll be no easy job.

Now forgetting for one minute I'm an Ablion fan... are you seriously telling me you had Hull City to stay up at the start of season?

Just seen your post - well to make the bet worthwhile there was little point throwing Hull in there. Worse sides have managed to stay up in the past

You'd be better off worrying about your own team than trying to gain your seasons satisfaction from another teams possible relegation.
Me? I don't give a carp about the mackems.
Wether they go up, down or anything.
You see? I'm a Newcastle supporter and I spend my time supporting Newcastle, not thinking about some silly, partly supported, southern, cockney team.
You should spend more time thinking about your team, cos I certainly don't!

I 'm still laughing at the fact this wasn't an April Fool Day's joke.

WTF do you think Alan Shearer will do?

Kevin Keegan was their last chance - FAIL, bye bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW I live up north, I have a right to speak

There have been far worse appointments made in the past - one of the worst I had to endure was the joint player/manager role at Reading between Mick Gooding & Jimmy Quinn - as if one player/manager wasn't bad enough!

So Ms Sparkle, are you tipping Newcastle to go down? :)

newcastle will be going down.

that club is a joke and the dressing room is full of wasters like peter lovelyhands who has all the heart of a fork, micheal "i'm only 4 goals away from being englands greatest ever striker ever you know" owen who is more interested in his horses and mark viduka to name a few. oh and not to mention the chairman and the poisoned dwarf wise.
now they throw in not very good bbc pundit who was once in a mcdonalds advert, aye its all going to end well haha.

Wise left the club today, and they have no plan to fill the gap left by him. Shearer can't lose as someone said. He knows the club well and I can't see him taking any carp from any of the players. Still not convinced we'll stay up. But that won't be down to shearer.
#16
I'll stick my neck out and say they'll get 12 points from the run-in - that will mean finishing on 41 and should guarentee them staying up.

Really?
And why exactly ARE you speaking?
Your own team so feeble you spend your time talking about other teams, rather than supporting it?
lol
