Ok I have watched with disinterest the voucher/telly/I have been ripped off blah blah threads..

So something new..As I have a large and mainly rock collection of music I have been revisting old cds to see what rocks and what doesnt, plus I am genuinly interested in anything that the buying public ( note BUYING!!! not borrowing:roll: or sharing:x ) have got that I might or should buy that I dont alrady have . So in a few words tell me whats hot and what rocks

So I took delivery today of the remastered
Sound track to the Song Remains the Same Led Zeppelin...

well , I was blown away, original track listing fom the concert and , if one tune needs listening too its Since I`ve been loving you ... Jimmy Pages guitars riffs are top notch

so there you go.. over to you the general public :whistling:

Dog cop - the best way to rediscover all your old favourites it to rip all your CDs onto a large capacity MP3 player and have it on shuffle......some of my CDs I hadn't listened to in years and I'd forgotten how good some of them were.....

Are you looking for more recent album releases or ones more than 5 year old?
#8
Tool: Lateralus

Boards of Canada: Geogaddi
The Prodigy: Music for the Jilted Generation
Amon Tobin: Supermodified

To name but a few...

Alter Bridge - One Day Remains or Blackbird

Some of the guitar work is very impressive (in my opinion)

I would have suggested exactly the same thing.

In the past 3 years I have downloaded so much music and only 2 albums have been good enough to warrant me buying.

Both of those were Alter Bridge albums.

Thats quite a statement. Unless you've downloaded two whole albums that is.

I tell a lie, it was 2 Alter Bridge albums and 1 Black Label Society album that ive purchased in recent years. But, I've downloaded what must be a good few hundred CDs. Many have been good, but none made me go "I want to give that band my money" except the 3 aforementioned

Do you remember those old cracked Amiga 500 games? At the start they had a start up screen with "CRACKED BY Hax0r" or something and had the wee cheesey techno tunes. Thats Dragonforce.

sounds good can't beat the oldies bet they'd still make cracking headliners but I couldn't pee in a bucket for a whole weekend - need a car to hide behind whilst crouched over a drain and don't get me started on the mud - wouldn't have anywhere clean to dry my leotard in between the rings or hang my wet t-shirts

I do apologise been in the hukd pub for a couple of hours.
And just to prove my taste sucks by most peoples standard I'm off to bed in a bit with my power ballads to drive to cd
