Aldi said the model it was using was similar to how the supermarket sells food. It will offer a limited range of holiday deals but hopes to sell them in big volumes. A spokeswoman said that prices will be 20% to 30% cheaper than regular tour operators.

Destinations on offer are mainly in Europe including Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal and Turkey.

Just don't book a sunshine holiday, as all the sunbeds will be covered with their towels.

Had a look at this yesterday, came across as just another tour operator selling package deals from the usual suspects.

does anyone know if its accommodation only? as the prices are shockingly cheap, so me thinks you need to get your own flights, but i cant find details

It is not any cheaper than the other websites you can book flights and hotels on.

Still don't see what the deal is, and why to book with Aldi, over any other on or offline travel agent. Didn't find it particularly easy to search either, you only seem to be able to put in an exact day that you want to travel on, rather than give it a wider window, as other sites allo. ??

Also from the help info - '2: Resort - Nothing available in your chosen resort
What To Do? Change the resort drop down in the control panel to select 'Any' resort within the area' Didn't allow this to be done on the trial search I tried, so kept searching in vain, like looking for a needle in a haystack.

And the hotels on offer, of course at pppn, with minimum occupancy, don't include flights, and I'm not swimming if the site won't find me a flight.

Seems distinctly average to me. Luke warm.
