Alexis Sanchez, Better then Messi?

I know Messi is a wizzard on the ball, but seen quite a bit of this guy and he has more strength then Messi, amazing skills. can beat players with ease.

Messi seems to go down too easy, where as this guy may look like he has been tackled but will then win the ball back and do something with it.

What do you guys think?

Messi doesn't go down easy at all IMO seeing as everybody tries to kick lumps out of him. When he does though, he's straight back up too. Tough little dude.

Messi got over 50 goals last season. Sanchez got 22

totally agree with the above comment messi can easily be another c ronaldo ie dive anytime anyone looks at him
but he just gets up and play no matter how many times he is kicked - i think he is on another level compared to other players

No.

But will be interesting to see them play together next season as i think he'll end up at Barca.

That's where he should go unless all he thinks about is money and ends up at City. Sanchez is a class player but doesn't compare to Messi, sure Barcelona's tactics lately under Pep have been disgraceful, what they did against Real was some of the worst sportsmanship I've ever seen but Messi is the kind of guy who always gets back up, you usually see him playing on with the ball even after being kicked and the ref brings it back!

Messi is miles ahead of everybody else playing now. He will be considered the greatest ever player when he retires. Sanchez is good but don't do him the disservice of comparing him to Messi

He's very good but not at Messi's standard yet. Sanchez is no doubt one of the world's top ten. Give him a few more seasons and he'll be up there with Messi and Ronaldo.

Is he better than Nani?

I think Messi is better, but he was also playing in front of two of the best midfielders in the world. Look at Messi during the world cup, looked lost without Xavi and Iniesta.

If he is considered greatest ever then people need to get a brain. Messi is outstanding for Barcelona, but all to often he under-performs for Argentina. Maradona was outstanding for both club and country while simultaneously battling drink and drug problems.

Personally i think if you put messi into maradonas generation he would run rings around absolute anyone. You have to consider the standards compared to then and now.

Yeah, but if you took Messi into Maradona's generation he would probably not have been given the growth hormones that he needed to strengthen up. He would then be battered off the ball constantly and bearing in mind that players were not as protected as they were then Messi would be struggling to impose himself on the game.

However, Maradona with his skill and strength would still be a success in our era. He would also be brought into a 'better' football environment. He would be fitter and probably not exposed to the wrong elements as he was back then.

judging by this youtube clip his not even close, does a step over and knocks its pass one player, messi takes on 3-4 players in the tightest of spaces and score after doing that, eden hazard is better than sanchez.

I think Messi has been in the spotlight a lot more then Sanchez so maybe that doesn't go in his favour. Obviously the class of players Messi is playing with makes it easier to play better but on the other side of the coin harder to shine.

I think once Sanchez comes to United, you will see his class.
Can't really judge a midfielder by the amount of goals he scores as thats not really his job but of course it is an added bonus and good for the team.

Messi has only started banging in the amazing amount goals he has in the last couple of seasons.

Like I say, I know Messi is the best player in the world at the minute but I don't think sanchez is too far behind and it will be very close once he starts playing with a better calibre of player.
