I've updated my teenage sisters laptop to Windows 10. I have an admin account and she has a local account. I need to give it back to her later so she can get on with her homework, but currently no parental controls.
On Windows 10 it appears that you can't set up parental controls unless you setup an Microsoft account for each user. I don't think it's too big a problem to set up a new account accept for the fact she has all her files etc saved on the local account. Apparently, I also give Microsoft my credit card info and she will have to log into the Microsoft email account every 50 days or so to keep it active from what I read in a guide.
So rather than doing all this I was wondering if there are any free alternatives or other low cost options about that are recommended/trusted? doing a google if seems hard to find recommendations and I notice some are for amercian software, would that be a problem?
The main aim is to block explicit content, porn etc. The anti virus being used for now anyway will be Windows Defender.
