why bother spending 500quid on something to read a book on? last time i looked ipad doesnt have a 4week battery but correct me if im wrong?
#3

be great if you could give a full review fridgehead as i fancy once of these myself :-)

how you finding the e-ink display? Using normal displays (like ipad) to read books just doesn't work for me but i'm tempted by the e-ink malarky...

I know they dont even do the same thing as an ipad! Over all the products great very happy with it, the screens fast at updating and the overall quality feels good. Box and instructions are a bit on the cardboardy side but its not like im ever going to use them again.

Very impressed with the internet on it as well as well as the amazon ebook store, and it has no problem with playing mp3s and pdfs.

I opted for the iriver story instead . Liked the idea of the the SD card facility for extra storage ,I think it reads more files too and has a callendar and recorder fuction .Didn't get the internet one , I wont be buying my books .

I still worry about the price of the books...when I am practically guaranteed to be able to pick up the latest books at the supermarket for approx £3.50 each not sure how it would compare. i know kindle have some good bargains on books at the mo but worry once they have sold more kindles that the prices will go up again for the downloads. Dont know what anyone else thinks of this. If I could guarantee paying about the same or less as a paper book I would get one

the big problem is you have to pay vat on ebooks but not on normal books, which means they will be more although theres enough book and pdfs you can get for free not to worry.

would like one also, looks really good. Have it on my wish list.

i thought that as well always struggling to read much of websites on my iphone and even on a 24" computer screen. whilst on holiday got the twilight book app (iphone) as a last minute something to do on the journey and was impressed at how much easier it was than reading an actual book. in the end i read the first 3 in the series in about a week. the apps designed for reading work better than you think and until people try them have pre assumptions they wont like it.

So right I have been sussed. Love a bit of chick lit and a good detective novel thrown in with a bit of fantasy.
