Anyone else fed up with them they are as bad as YODEL, I've been sitting here for 4 days waiting for a parcel everytime the tracking system says out for delivery and then changes to attempted delivery will try again tomorrow.

Last week they left a parcel out in the rain, I was in no one knocked ob the door my boyfriend came home from work at 1am and found it outside all soggy.

Time before that I had to go out and get my parcel from the guy because he refused to walk up the stairs.

no problems with sellers on amazon everything from sellers turns up faster then amazon stuff too.

Amazon are terrible.

I will also point out that the soggy parcel left outside was small enough to fit in the letterbox.

yes they're absolutely terrible! either doesn't turn up or they treat it like crap! and the couple times I've encountered the actual delivery person they've always been rude!
#4
I think it differs in different areas and depends on the driver. I'm a Prime member and since Amazon Logistics have started, my products have always been on time and majority of the times before midday. With the other companies they used to take 2 days to deliver sometimes, but Amazon always used to add a free month of Prime for the inconvenience so I wasn't too bothered.

Awful. And liars.

I've emailed amazon telling them to take it to a locker and I will get it myself.

So angry, watched a silver van pull up below my window, the guy delivered 6 amazon parcels around the place then got back in the van and went, within 20 mins the delivery attempted rubbish email appeared in my inbox again, guy can't be arsed walking up stairs again.

Only had one problem ever and that was a delivery recently by courier, they left the package on my doorstep...... Was not happy about this and contacted Amazon but they only offered apologies. Definitely not renewing my prime delivery now.
#8
Oh I forgot about the PSvita, they delivered it unexpectedly early, left it outside leaning against my front door and sent an email claiming they'd posted it through my letterbox, now if it had been nicked off my doorstep what comeback would I have when they claim it was posted in my letterbox?.

HA! They won't deliver it to a locker and sent me the generic email crap of if your not home for a delivery we will put it in a safe place or leave it with a neighbour. Jokers.

Like all couriers, there are bad 'uns and good 'uns. I recently had a Amazon Logistics delivery claimed to have been 'Attempted Delivery'. I had waited in all day specifically for the delivery. I was fuming. Next day, when the item did turn up, the driver admitted that on the previous day it was a different driver who didn't know the area and couldn't be bothered so he just put in attempted delivery.

I shouted at em on twitter and at about 6 a guy came round with my parcel and apolosed for his driver failing to deliver it.

shouldn't have to kick up such a fuss must have sent them at least 10 angry emails and tweets yesterday, I preordered Bayonetta 2 and it should have turned up here friday, it would have fitted in the letterbox.

what gets my goat is the lying emails, out for delivery sonetime between 7.30am and 9pm its half term, I wanted to take my son to the park at the weekend now they've finished renovating it, not sit at home, my son is in cornwall now staying with his dad and grandparents, good thing I didn't prebook a train ticket to go too, under the belief that my pre order would be delivered on release.
#12
I have had one 'attempted delivery for 3 items' which they didn't even come. So Amazon resent them, I also hate how they send an email around 8:30am but won't delivery especially recently till after 4pm (good on mon-fri) but not sat/sun. Have complained to say can I have DPD but they said the usual we don't pick delivery it's automated.
#13
I've given up with these jokers, they go to the wrong apartment block or they just lie. If I really want anything from Amazon i have to get it delivered to a local store, although I've had items go missing there too. Can't see me going prime again next year for this joke of a service.
#14
Do they still use DPD or is it all Amazon Logistics?

if get something sent royal mail its no fuss, it turns up or it doesn't, I get carded maybe. I think the biggest issue is the emails basically telling you to stay inside your home for 10 hours because your parcel may turn up any minute
#15
I have parcels coming today with Amazon Logistics but who is courier company delivering it ?

9/10 my prime orders always get dispatched with DPD but i have recently been getting ParcelFarce who don't deliver in my area until around 5pm everytime which is annoying. I don't mind CityLink now as they give a time window which for me seems to have never let me down.

and now today's parcels are coming with Amazon Logistics and have no idea when they will turn up or going by the comments here if the driver can be bothered to deliver

I just had a peach of one

was expecting parcel, nothing arrived, look at the tracking and it said delivered! so I contacted Amazon, they said the driver put it through the 'letterbox'

I said to amazon, that's funny as the parcel is 20cm high, so unless I have a mutant letterbox the courier is flat out lying.....

3 hours later a really snotty young lad was banging on my door, and he practically throw the parcel at my wife! I could not believe how rude he was, I caught them out lying and get snotty with me!

go figure

If it had been posted through your letterbox you would only have complained it had made your floor wet. :{

Can you track amazon logistics anywhere else apart from the Amazon website?

no it's them, they drive around in unmarked silver vans, I think they park their own dedicated vans in the depot of the cheapest company they can find in a area and run it as Amazon Logistics so you don't know who it really is, mine came from Hayes, Yodel had a depot at Hayes so I have my suspicions.

Any problems with deliveries through Amazon for me have always come when the courier is Amazon Logistics.

I tend to get a text message saying there is a problem with your delivery from Amazon, please contact the courier and update your information........

Huh? Please contact the courier? You are the courier!

Just got my parcel now. 19:35

Only 2/3 parcels delivered. Check tracking on the 3rd and its not left a depot down south.

Tracking labels show DXG which i think is DX Couriers possibly ?

Not as bad as me - with Prime - I'm in Greater London:
via amazon logistics - next day delivery

In transit
Delivery estimate: Friday, 31 October 2014

--

I said to CS: "Is it lost as it has no tracking update for 2 days" - their reply: "It's a technical issue with the scanner"

Yeah, a technical issue called "lost parcel".

She is "confident it will be delivered by 9pm tonight." - based upon no evidence by her admission.
The person on Friday told me it would definitely be delivered today.

What a nightmare, fortunately it's a birthday present for a small child so they won't notice, but that's not the point.

Yeah well i was promised that they will deliver this parcel that never arrived today, Tomorrow. We shall see.

I don't know why they keep changing couriers.

I have never had problems with DPD and CityLink.
#25
As suspected, still no delivery today.

And FINALLY they phone the courier.

"Just trying to get a replacement sent as they appear to have lost it"
#26
The worst of the worst. Placed an order on Friday and paid extra for a next day delivery. Saturday morning I recieved an email at 0830 saying that my parcel was out for delivery. Received another email at 10-09 saying that they had attempted a delivery and they would try to deliver again on Sunday. No "sorry we missed you" card because the driver didn't come anywhere near my house. I know no delivery was attempted as I'm housebound! These people are liars.
I contacted Amazon who said they would try to arrange delivery later in the day or for Sunday. Sorry Amazon but you need to sort these cowboys out.

Amazon logistics strike again, him indoors ordered murdered soul suspect, got a email saying it had been delivered and was in the letter slot. Several hours later someone from 10 doors away brings it saying it was delivered to them by mistake.

What is wrong with those people? I must say they seem obsessed with that area, last time they left a card saying we delivered and you was out so we left it with a neighbour they didn't put a address on to let me know which one, the 2 nearest were out and hours later someone from 9 doors away knocked on my door with it.

Just a thought but, if Amazon Logistics are so bad, why do you keep buying stuff from Amazon?

They are hardly likely to do anything about their deliveries if you keep using them despite the poor service.

Why do you think? If they have the cheapest stuff you order it, if its only a quid or two I do order elsewhere instead, personally I've taken to using Nintendo for preorders and the game collection for games and stopped buying consoles from amazon years ago, I'd rather buy consoles from GAME they use DPD. I accept if you pay peanuts you get monkeys but why can't they give you the option to pay extra for someone decent? All their delivery options can end up being Amazon Logistics.

I do a lot of walking, always finding their 'we missed you' cards blowing around in the street, they just tuck them in the letterbox flap rather than taking the extra half a second to actually post it. I rarely use Amazon these days but it must cause a lot of problems for people.

Especially when they send you emails of the statues they could write where they left things in that, they did it once, they left a parcel at a local shop and emailed the full address of it.

You've hit the nail on the head there. The problem with their deliveries is, I suspect, that the marginal cost of offering a (rarely used) alternative makes it uneconomic. Because of the number of parcels they distribute, Amazon Logistics probably costs about a £1 a parcel. Whereas if you want, for example, DHL to pick up and deliver one parcel, its going to cost you nearly £10.

Although Amazon are cheap, it's often only by a smallish amount so, if you don't want to suffer Amazon Logistics, you will have to pay a bit more to shop elsewhere.

Having said that, I must admit that our local Amazon deliveries are fine, no better but no worse than any of the others.
#33
I've had it a few times where they knock at 7-8am just once then leave whilst I am hunting for keys, don't attempt to post through letterbox or leave with a neighbour, then mark it delivered on amazon.
#34
Amazons legendary service was far too good to last. Hello Amazon Logistics, the company that will stop me using Amazon, rubbish service and uncontactable. Prime delivery already 3 days late. NOT RECOMMENDED!
#35
Never had a problem with Amazon deliveries myself, in fact when yodel was heavily used by a lot of merchants I had only one issue out of several dozen parcels.

Seems to be location specific issues, marginally caused by terrible drivers.
banned#36
It all hit and miss. I've had times where my expectations were surpassed and times when they were not. Everyones experience and opinions vary on any given matter. Even the worst of companies have made many customers delighted with their service or product. It's all relative.

In all the walks of life there are 'novices' and experts level of workers. Courier service is no exception to that.

There may be some drivers who would simply mark on his device 'sorry, missed you' if he is not aware of the area and thereby generating 'missed you' mails.

So whether it is Amazon, Ebay or any other online shopping site it is same when they use cheap courier services to take care of the super-saver deliveries.

However, Amazon Prime should get some serious quality service as it is a paid service. but courier service again is full of idiots and non-idiots alike :) so some customers may get good service while others would simply get 'missed you' mails.

Above comments are not meant to harm any community so take it easy and enjoy !!

mine is just as bad. normally it's either late or I get a were sorry its been damaged email. I think we are the furthest point of delivery I'm waiting for one today. £50 days we won't get it
#39
I ordered an item from Amazon,I received an email saying the item was out for delivery,I heard the driver knock on the door.By the time I got to the door there was a card on the carpet which the driver had left,It takes 10 seconds to get to the door, the driver could not even wait 10 seconds. This is very poor service.Years ago I used to be a delivery driver, if I had done what the driver did, I would have been taken of the road and made to work in the warehouse
#40
At least he/she went to your door and left a card.

I don't get what these lockers are about, I wouldn't mind using one but it appears they are only for delivering packets of tictacs as every order I make is deemed too large, waiting on a order now, 2 sd cards and a ps3 game, I expect that to fit thru the letter box but again too large for the lockers thing.
