  Once when I was away for two weeks a parcel arrived ( I know bad timing by me) and a card through the door said "placed in wheelie bin' which by the time I got home had been emptied.

  Ring/email amazon see what they say? Your contract to supply and deliver is with them not tghe courier so dont let them fob you off, although with Amazons great CS they probably wont even try to fob you off.

  HDNL in leeds is rubbish, check any place they might have put it outside, they often leave parcels on my front step. Have they posted a green card through your door to say they have left it anywhere or with anyone? or just contact amazon and tell them how awful they are and get them to resend it

  Definately check outside. I have had couriers walk round to the rear of my house and leave parcels in an unused outbuilding.

  HDNL is **** shocker! Contact Amazon and complain, the more that do then they will surely take notice and stop using these cowboys!

  Going through the same problem at the minute. Had a order from SimplyTap with Yodel "Delivered" on Tuesday.
  
  Called Yodel Tuesday, Told they would call in 48 hours
  Called Yodel Thursday, Told to contact SimplyTap (Carphone Warehouse)
  Called CPW Thursday, On the phone for about an hour.
  Monday: Still no parcel or resolution.

  I had an order from Amazon apparently had been delivered to my back garden by HDNL. Unless of course he was a fox, I haven't a clue how he got into the back garden. I looked everywhere in a fairly sparse garden and all around the outside of the house, with no sign of the parcel. Amazon were great about resolving it though.
  
  I used to have a great HDNL driver/courier, but since he has gone, I've had nothing but trouble. I've been waiting for Yodel to pick up some Amazon returns. Despite booking the collection via the Web, they've missed the collection. This is the second time they've failed to collect. Amazon then has to get CityLink to complete the job. I am not singing the praises of CityLink by any means but they are a hell of a lot better than HDNL/Yodel.

  Ordered from amazon with my prime last wednesday for Thursday delivery. No sign on Thursday. Checked the tracking number around 5pm and it was back at the depot. Rang them up to be told by the helpful lady that the driver returned it with the reason "no access to property". However I have my default delivery address for work which is a shop on the high street with 24/7 access so I told the nice woman to make sure they tell the driver and his boss that bit of info. Turned up the next day, told the driver to stop being a lazy **** and do his job properly

  These guys must throw parcels into the back of the van and just drive around for 9 hours, delivering to nobody for 4 days a week, then 1 day just throw the parcels into peoples gardens and slam dunk them into bins!

  It's only gonna get worse, Amazon now pay so little to the courier companies that eventually you will have to collect from the depot if you want your items. Expect to see more delivery charges in the future. Things have got to change soon the free lunch cannot last forever.

  It will all go full circle with Amazon having "collection stores" on the highstreet.
  
  Paying these delivery companies virtually nothing is harming service and making me go back to the high street. Any saving on an online purchase under £10 is not worth my time going to the courier warehouse, royal mail collection depot or time sending emails or the stress.

  Not the smartest idea I know, I was angry and felt like I needed to make it known. Althought in all fairness, I've had a few other parcels since with no issues :D
