last night I was looking on amazon for some stuff & there was a link in the top left to say I was entitled to a free month trial of amazon prime.

This morning I've gone into it again to signup fpr the trial & buy the stuff but there is no sign of it now has it finished or something?

Cheers,
Steve.

i think it's random as to when it offers it you. If you keep surfing etc it may come back up. Also, it has been displayed to people who have already taken a previous prime offer. I'm still waiting on it offering it me again!!

ah OK - thanks, I'll carry on browsing & see if it comes back.

cheers.

yes, it will come back I think. And well worth taking up. Mine has just finished but I managed to make use of it 4 times in the month and was very happy with the 'order in the afternnon and have it delivered at 9am next morning' situation that happened with them all! I nearly signed up for the year. In fact, if I knew for sure that I'd make 2 or more purchases a month with Amazon I would sign up. But cash is tight these days so I doubt I will...

Thats the link to amazon prime sign up, and it tells you about the free months trial there.

*Has anyone done the free trial and then cancelled before the months out? How simple is it to cancel as I dont fancy getting charged £49?

You can "cancel" as soon as you sign up by ticking the option that tells you not to upgrade when due (or similar wording!)

Once the trial is up it will revert back to a standard account. I cancelled mine no hassle.

grrrr bloody amazon marketplace, I filled my basket with all the stuff I want then went to checkout only to realise that they are all things from diferent sellers & hardly any of them are from amazon themselves - the postage was about £40 for about 10 items! Deleted them all now, I think I'm gonna buy from somewhere else as I can't be bothered to work out which products are actually from amazon! Is there an easy was to turn the others off so they don't come up in a search?

when you are looking at a product, it will say something like this under it if it is sold by Amazon themselves:

Availability: In stock. Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.co.uk.

Want guaranteed delivery by 1pm Tuesday, July 29? Order it in the next 5 hours and 1 minute, and choose Express Delivery at checkout. See Details

I done the same, signed up about 10 days ago, had three deliveries so far. Ordered late afternoon, arrived by 8.30 the following morning. Well worth signing up to but cancel straight away by clicking the Manage My Amazon Prime Account, under the main account tag, unless of course you're willing to pay the £49 annual price.

This is a good deal, easy to cancel before the month is up. Bought quite a few different things that i wouldnt normally because i would have had to make order up to 15 quid. Have signed up for yearly subscription now, works out quite reasonable if you can get family members to chip in. You can add members to your subscription so the cost would be less.

Just signed up for the trial, does the free one day delivery come via courier or royal mail with the postman?
