Ordered an item from amazon on friday night and today the same item is £7 cheaper. The status of the order is dispatching soon, which it has been since being ordered on friday, and so I cannot cancel and re-order? Is there anyway of getting the £7 back from amazon? Thanks.

i had this problem but they will only bill you when item is despatched. So you will get charged at the price it is at on the despatch day

You sure about that? What you're saying implies that Amazon could jack the price by 50% on dispatch day and charge you the extra money without your consent, which would be illegal.

re-order and refuse delivery of first order

whats sort of price are we talking anyway for the item? off a £500 order its not worth the hassle off a £50 or less its definitely worth it.

I have cancelled orders before when at same status, just ring them on the 0800 number

Thanks for all the responses guys! Took cdm22's advice at the beginning and emailed them asking what could be done, will update this when they respond.

The item was around the £300 mark so not worth the hassle of sending back.

Well Amazon were quick to respond and part of their email is below..only thing is the item is now £7 dearer than what I paid for it (increase in £14 from yesterday) so hopefully they won't charge me more :p
