I bought an Item in July for about £160 and it's stopped working.

Do you think Amazon would swap it for me / give me a refund?

I checked and it says out of 30 day return thing.

Says nothing about damage :(. So I'd have to ring.

ihad a camcorder for about 11 months an it just went caput, they refunded my money. im sure i used the email link and they rang me back, just gonna nip and have a look at form

In case the item has become defective after 30 days please contact our customer service to obtain returns information.

no trouble at all, just told them what the problem was, they asked me to return it but they no longer stocked the item so could only have refund

I don't think they stock this one either because they havent had it instock since I bought it (I bought one of the last two).

Youll have no problem at all returning to Amazon. I've done it plenty of times myself. Just state the reasons and say the product is still within warrenty.

you will be fine, everything comes with at least a year, it is through amazon and not marketplace

It's busted.

Sale of goods act says goods shall be fit for purpose, as described and reasonably durable.

If they ain't the SUPPLIER, NOT THE MANUFACTURER has a duty to repair/replace/refund.

That will last (depending on how durable the goods are reasonably expected to be) up to 6 years.

Amazon have a statutory duty to sort you out.

Thanks guys, I just rang them up, told them it was defective, no more details needed really, they don't have any instock so they're refunding me. Does anyone know if I'll need to wait until I return it for my refund?

Usually you have to wait until its processed back at the warehouse, which won't take long. Best to send it recorded delivery as well just to make sure it arrives, plus Amazon will refund all postage costs.

They've sent me a DHL returns slip with postage pre-paid:thumbsup:. Just getting errors on the DHL site again.. Typical DHL.

Yeah, me too.

I'm going out at 12, so I'll keep checking up until then, then I'll be home at 5. If it's not fixed by then, I'll ring them back up.

I basically said It's defective and he was like "no problem, we don't have any instock so we'll refund you."

Just need this damned DHL site to work.

No, When I try to arrange the courier it won't let me it keeps saying service is unavailable.

Oh trying to sort a pick up thought it was a tracking issue. They wont pick up now so should wait until monday morning then try if still not working you should phone up. You could always take it to the office in Nottingham on monday.

Could do, but I don't get back from college til 6 monday to wednesday and they close at 6:p.

Amazon have personally promised me 'that was the final call i'll be making for this situation' and have set up a collection to the exact hour i want it picked up on tuesday.

Can't fault them at all to be honest, star service.
