I'm gonna ask what some people may think is a stupid question!! Does the upgrade automatically happen or will I have to run something on my HTC Legend when its released?
#2
Also, may be worth remembering that most branded handsets have to wait even longer because the carrier has to rebrand the release.

Those who got it Sim Free (like me) should have it as soon as HTC release it.

both are free and work

both are lite version saying you cant view HTMLS, but you can i log into ebay with it, and its very fast too, used on a netbook

EasyTether Lite

PDANET free edition

personally wouldnt touch an OTT overrated overpriced Iphone

With the tethering does it work if you are on payngo with unlimited web/wifi or do i need to be on a contract for the tethering to work?

I know with my iphone on payngo i have to have a contract in order to use the tethering.

When I plug my Desire in to the USB, it allows me to select "internet sharing" mode?
#11
So i presume...

Google release 2.2
HTC configure their 'Sense'
T-mobile sort their stuff out
It gets released OTA?

Presume that will take a while?

If your sim free or on a rom that isn't branded, then you'll get it as soon as Google/HTC Release it.
#13
A good reason to Root then?
#14
If the desire doesn't get the 2.2, then rooting will get you Apps2SD. Other then that, I don't see any point.

Seriously they need to stop upgrading the sodding OS until they can get the older models upto the current version.

Still running 1.5 on the Hero and getting really tired of release dates getting pushed back continuously.

With the Froyo update google are trying to prevent the fragmentation of the OS by allowing all the drivers to the device to be available through the market.

Asked in T-Mobile and they said that it isn't coming out anytime soon, but they always lie in my opinion.

Hope to god that HTC are fast at implementing (they will be) and then T-Mobile (they wont be):):):):)
