Anniversary Ideas in Birmingham

So its that time of the year where I have to celebrate all those years of love with my girlfriend!

Now I'm at a loss of ideas of what to do, we only have the one day off together on the day itself - Friday. We live just outside of Birmingham so can I have some ideas thrown around please?

Expensive posh restaurants? Day/Evening out - Symphony Hall, Jazz nights?

Something original please?

oh... There is the Birmingham eye thing. On broad street it was a few weeks ago. Presume its still there. Think it was 6 pound each.. Not sure of the names of the things that go round on the wheel.(cages? lol). but there is a VIP one.. has tinted windows.. And you can have a bottle of champagne up there.. failing that sea world is alright.

We go to a lovely indian called Lasan in St Paul's Square.

It isn't your normal traditional curry / balti house, it is a contemporary, modern indian cuisine restaurant, in lovely surroundings and amazing food !!

They have also just won the award for 'The F-word's Best Local Restaurant' along with several other awards.

Seriously, if you want to impress the missus with excellent food, quality surroundings and top service, then you will find it hard to beat lasan.

Forget the shortlist, just book a table.

You will not be disappointed ....

or go to michelin starred Purnells (Glynn Purnell a regular on TV shows like Great British Menu) right in the centre of town - wine is a bit pricely but three course lunch is only £25 which is a bargain for the quality and sure to impress....................

I am sure I saw on here some experiences like makeover and photo session for £5 and the studio is in Hurst St birmingham near the hippodrome, I did buy some from Buy a Gift. You even get a lovely new haircut and you can get a complimentary picture together and a glass of bubbly! then go for a nice chinese buffet meal in chinatown or a show at Hippodrome?

Go to Stratford upon Avon for the day/evening. It's really pretty and you can see a good RSC play. You can check what's on here:
