mega hacked off - long story short

order 3 items 27 november, pink cam 99.99 cam case.4.99 phone.14.99

all in stock when i ordered and usually dispatched withen 24 hours stated!

2 dyas later all money out of bank, and recieved case and phone - nocamera

kept checking site and status was "packing"

however went on today to find an email sayn , the camera was out of stock today, and it has bee returned today and refunded my money, when i phoned play, after a very long wait on the phone, they siad it has been out of stock and they did not know when it was back at at the time they emailee me today, so they had to refuned money, however good news it back in stock,but i have to reorder it... i get off phone to reoder it and its back up 2 £129.99, after an hour of on hold, and not gettn through i have sent an email.

1-they should have told me it was not in stick witehn the 24 hours, not 5 days later!
2-long waiting times on phone
3-i think tehy are jsut tryning to scame more money out of me!

what does every one think??

ok sorry for the title, was too annoyed to think, however can we put the "spell checker joeks aside" for once?? and give me advice on hwat to do,##i cant spell i know, i find it very very ahrd, but i know generally ppl can understand me

I have had the same problem with Woolworths recently, an item was on route to store for the last 6 weeks!! I have finally got them to admit it was out of stock the whole time. I put in a complaint and after pestering them they have given me a £10 gift voucher.

Send them a stongly worded complaint but in the meantime I would look elsewhere for the camera if you can.

Best advice is to email them demanding your money back due to them falsely claiming it was instock.

speak to play's head office phone the customer service number and ask for the head office number then ring them and explain what has happened they seem to be more understanding

a few things

1 shell looks a total honey in her avatar
2 theres a scam , advertise until its near xmas then drive the price up but firstly cancel orders so they will either go without or have to re-order
3 what a shame we cant give neg rep to enable the people who shouldnt be here to be clear and concise who they are and to remove them
4 why is no-one interested in the scam only their abilitys to massage their egos by bringing another member down ?

i concider myself a newbee here and ill be honest everytime i come here i wonder why i bother , i would have hoped that being the new fella would have afforded me a little respect but instead i see ignorence and hostitility toward people from a few who should know better , the smallest possible fault and the trolls come out to express in the most vile terms the swear filter will allow , this time its spelling ( again ) , isnt it about time to temper these hostile people and make this a welcoming site , they bring nothing to this place and taint the good people here

What bugs me about Play is that they don't keep you updated, I ordered something that was showing as in stock for my dads birthday...assumed it was on it's way, payment was taken, when there was no sign of it about 5 days later and it was my dads birthday in 2 days I logged in to check on the status and it was showing as 'awaiting stock' - they could have bloomin let me know, by the time I realised it was too late to order from any where else!

Ah back in the day they had great customer service. I remember the days when they used to stick stams on by hand and the delivery note was printed on a rubbish inkjet printer.

Since they have got big they have suffered on customer service but got better on price so it seems you cant have it both ways it seems.

I sometimes order dvd/cd from play from stock, I also order it from HMV although more expensive if the play one does turn up I just take the other one into my local hmv with the invoice and get a refund. If play are been slow I just cancel the order and keep the HMV one. (I also get to keep my quidco money too.)

UP DATE TIME

for any1 who was floowing what happ ned with play

after 5 days and no reply to email i clal today, and talk to this irish boy phil, who said they could sell me th camera i wanted for 94.99, theni said its not in stock, so he sujjestted the silver, but no guartee for chrsitmas , so i siad no, after alot of haggling, got the fuji fine pix hot pink, priced at 124.99 on there site, for 99.99, so i pretty please!

Don't count on it, I'm a newbie member and wrote about my shoddy service from Play.com, but was shot down in flames, from some members saying I was the only one who thought this way.....lo and behold take a look at the Wii play (play.com) and see the adverse feedback, there's loads of us feel the same.Good luck with your order anyway.

Personally it's HMV i've had more problems with than Play.com, several things not mailed out from HMV despite the fact that they sent me e-mails saying it had been dispatched, had to phone them up for refunds etc.

Don't forget things can get "lost" in the post !!:whistling:

I had a Wii Play disappear on its way from Gamestation :x

Still got one from Play of all places but had a battle with them over stock levels and saying its in stock then its not then it is again and and :roll:
