Annoying Sony Vat offer

I was in the market for a 40" Sony LCD and was keeping a close eye on the KDL40EX403U as it seemed to be around £500 in many places.

I put it off hoping for a great deal and then when the Sony VAT back offer came up I thought 'Great, a cheap TV and around £70 back'. Checked today only to find most places have increased there prices so there is no saving and in some places are now advertising as £500 with VAT savings included when it was this price only days before without the Sony offer.

Sorry to go off on one but this has really pee'd me off.

What annoys me even more is when they list the price and have 'price includes Sony VAT offer' in the small print because it screws up all the price comparison sites.

I can't believe Sony could be responsible for the price increases cos surely they would know someone would notice and pull them up on it?

Samsungs £100 cashback offer seems to have been a better deal.

bought mine using that and fully expected the prices too fall by the £100 once the cashback had ended but it hasn't happened on the model i bought in fact it hasnt dropped at all so was still a good deal.
