Annoying Things at the Cinema...

Went watching the new Indiana Jones movie yesterday and not only was it a really bad film I had some guy who seemed to think it was ok for him to rest his feet on the back of my chair and continually bang it...ARGH! Out of the entire cinema he had to sit behind me!

I had to pay £7 for this experience...

Rant over...Anyone else got any bad cinema stories?

I always manage to sit behind the local rugby club team who are all 8 foot tall and i ant see anything but their heads!
#7
that happend to me a few years ago i looked behind me a couple of times and they stopped, then i could hear them giggle and start again a few mins later.
lucky for me the place was half empty including the seat behind them,
i got up, and sat behind them took me shoes off and put my smelly feet either side of his head wiggling my toes.
i hoped he would start something but after 10 mins he got up and sat near the front. i returned to my seat next to my mrs with victory in my heart.

Yes thank you...

Though, i had to pause for drinks and chocolate from the fridge...

We watched Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay afterwards...

We had no noise or trouble parking...

Oh great- I am off to the cinema in a while with my daughter to see Maid of Honour and I just KNOW that we will be sat behind a group of teenage girls who spend more time txting their friends what is going on in the film than actually watching it!:x The lights from thier phones are really distracting! Then the ushers usually have to come and check that they arent recording the film! Its a veritable hive of activity at my local pics!! Remind me why I said I will take her................? Oh yes- Patrick Dempsey-yummy!!:whistling:

I almost never go to the cinema - simple reason; other people. I'm fully prepared to wait 5 or 6 months for a DVD rather than have to suffer other cinemagoers. :-D
#14
I hate going to the cinema for those exact reasons, nothing worse then people rustling sweet packets, sipping drinks, nudging your chair, giggling and generally being a*seholes !!! :x

Running out of popcorn before the film has even started.

Cinemas should not even sell popcorn or sweets you have to unwrap! It annoyed the hell out of me so much that I havent been for 10 years. If i was to go, it would never be when a film is still selling well so packed out.

The wife and I went to see Indy 4 on Sunday night. I wasn't that impressed
Some guy beside me thought that everything that happened deserved a laugh.
The wife really likes the cinema, but I would much rather sit at home and watch it on my 104" screen via projector. I personally find the picture and sound to be better than the cinema (well certainly our local multiplex) and I can sit wearing what I want (if I wanted to wear anythign at all!) also eat and drink what I want and can pause the film and go and have a wee without missing anything :)

Where do you get these good quality films that have only just been released?

You've been sorely missed csiman.. really, not lying... it's been horrible without you :).

I rarely go these days either.. I usually just watch it at home and get annoyed by my family instead of strangers.

Have I been somewhere then? :w00t:

The only copies of Indy 4 currently 'out there' are bog-standard 'filmed in the cinema' copies - believe me, I know my releases, and there isn't (yet) a copy that could be considered "good" quality (unless perhaps you're watching it on an iPod and you're squinting). ;-)

There is no release of Indy 4 with 5.1 sound yet. There are a couple of fair to middling versions out there. All obtained with a camcorder in the cinema.
#24
Ha ha ha ha...

We had it before it was released...

I use IMDB like a shopping list...

I look at releases due in the US and then search for it on LIMEWIRE...

I never reproduce and always watch then delete...

I rarely watch a CAM version of any film...

Most are leaked or copied from DVD...

Thats was I thought, I've checked on the Usenet scene (use it alot) and the only good copies on there are CAMs...I think I'd rather go to the cinema than watch one of them

Had, please read previous post...

As for your '5.1' ...

We don't need that as we don't use a projector...

No screeners or R5's of indy4 have been released yet, so if you did watch it at best it was a TeleSynch with dark blurred picture. Doubt you would really notice that much if you have a smaller TV.

I went to see it on Sunday for free as my Brother works in a Cinema. Okay film but the ending was a bit ****.

I think you need to go to another cinema:thumbsup:
