Another betting question - bit of advice please

Did my usual bet this weekend, £1, all Prem League games, both teams to score, and added QPR vs Leeds.
As it stands that £1, is now riding on Fulham vs Liverpool and i need both teams to score
If that comes up, it becomes a £294 win.
Just looked on a few sites and it's evens for both teams NOT to score.
Is it worth laying it off, £145 for both teams NOT to score, given me a guaranteed £145 win either way or sit tight and hope the £1 becomes £294?

I would be more annoyed at myself if i didnt take the £145 and ended up with nothing than if i took the £145 and both teams managed to score.

Grow some Nuts kid & let it run :-)
#3
Yes that is my dilemma :p
Be sensible or grow a pair lol :)
If it does come in, it'll be the 2nd time this season it has
What puts me off is how free-scoring both teams have been of late, and, when i'd like them to they might not.......

Both teams to score accas have been a thorn in the bookies sides this season.
Watch next season, the odds will mysteriously freefall like they did at Ladbrokes earlier this season.

Betfred currently best odds for these, however he is now only accepting trebles and above!

:)
#5
Well the "best" odds within this accumulator were 1.72 across several fixtures down to 1.52 for West Ham's and Spurs' game.
It is a fun bet really, I mean, a quid each weekend, it only needs to come up once per season and you're in credit, so, twice would be toastie :)
#6
If you're only betting a quid a week, i hedge the bet and walk of with a nice £145.
Save ur stress levels going through the roof during the game too!
#7
Yeah, i know deep down it makes sense.
Just replied but deleted a post.
Was going to use Betfred since I do not have an account there and bet £100 and top up the other £50 with a free bet but it takes upto 48 hours once first bet is settled.
Mind, a bet like this i might as well sign up since i don't normally bet this high lol
I used to bet a lot more, normally laying, under/over 1.5 but got stung mid-season with some mental results so let it be and found this, more economically sounds offering :)

I may be wrong but i dont think Betfred lets you bet on both teams NOT to score.
Had a quick look and couldnt see a price.

Though if you can find a price, id defo go for that plan.
No Lose!

EDIT Yes you can bet on both teams NOT to score, price is 10/11

Yeah, both to teams to score, way down the list, 4/5 yes, 10/11 no
Not as good as Paddy Power evens, or betfair, barely above evens which are my normal places of choice

Ok, sorry WheresMeNuts, whilst i would love to let it ride as well as grow a pair, does seem to make more sense to off set it........
#12
Cheers Jay, will do.......
Edit: T&C's of betfred say to qualify for free bet the bet has to be placed at evens or above :(

If you are betting £145, i would be tempted to open an account with a new bookies online to opt in to some kind of free bet promo, might match you up to £100 in some places + Quidco maybe?
#14
William Hill are usually pretty good i think?
#15
@Obriendean.
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated but i think they're all going to have a T&C that says bet must be greater than evens, 2.0.....i'll certainly shop around though :)

No probs, good luck!
#17
So basically your asking if you should turn down a guaranteed £145?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...................
#18
@Grimer
I like your style, and yes, that is what i am asking put simply, yes
It's down to greed vs sensibility i guess.
I take your point
Dare i ask, do you bet, and, if so, what would you do?

Cash it out bud, its only a quid stake so £150 return is pretty damn good. Will pay for the next 3 seasons worth of bets.

As my wee Granny used to say "Son a half a loaf is better than no Loaf"
BTW:Hills are the best for Football bets.Ladbrokes where doing 4/1 for 3 teams, but it's since been cut to 7/2.
Hills also let you bet Both teams to score or not on more games than any other main bookie I can find.

OP You would also be better to do Correct scores like 1-0,2-0 & 3-0 for both teams at £25 each =£150.

What about 0-0 too,?

What about 0-0 too,?

Forgot about 0-0,but only a noob-gambler would do 0-0 because it could be 1-0 with a OG (own goal) & so you would lose.:p

OP also do NO GOAL SCORER just in case lol.
#23
Just been castrated lol
Joined William Hill via Quidco, £15, hopefully loaded £150 in and stuck £147 on both teams not to score at 19/20
As folks have said better to have summat than nowt eh? :)
Can't complain for a quid bet can i?
Has been fun if nothing else

As to the cumulative bets of scorelines above, they might have been a good idea but as Jay said earlier, this way, no stress, i've "won" no matter what, the question was always how much i want to "win" :)

Thanks to everyone!

Looking good now eh????

Betfred are crapping themselves over tonights Premier League match, if you had done all 10 Premier games in the Goals galore coupon and said both teams would score your already sitting on a 250-1 payout! If you added tonights game it's a v nice 350-1

currently 3-0 to liverpool
#26
I had liverpool down to win 3-0 tonight, don't think it will end like this the way it is going!!!

3 -1! could of had £294 but you bottled it

No regrets OP! If you hadn't layed it you can guarantee sods law would've prevented Fulham scoring and you'd have been pennyless! :)

It was looking good no matter what happened tonight. Pound turned into £140 either way. Hindsight is a wonderful skill :)

Well there were only 9 Prem fixtures on the weekend, 10 with this one. Must admit i did my bet at Paddy Power, never risk giving a red my cash lol.

No, the way the game started was astonishing but always a risk that Liverpool could run riot and not let Fulham in

That seems a little harsh. Majority of folks on here and those around me suggested taking the bet on to cover the risk. Like I said, hindsight is great, i'd sooner have the £140 than nothing :)

A few regrets, human nature dictates I have to. I know myself the bet i made last night made sense, greed made me pose the question in this thread lol. I'd have sooner have 294 than's for sure but as bets go it was a sensible bet i feel

Well done on the £150. You would of been gutted if Liverpool were 5-0 up right now.

For anyone who thinks this thread was a wind-up lol
Oh, and, for me, as said, this is the only the 2nd time this season i have bet and won on it, so, no skill from my end at all but does go to show the off-set bet is worthwhile.
Not many sat here would have predicted this carnage tonight! :)

Thanks Starr :)

Got the £25 free bet from William Hill and £15 from quidco (tracked not paid) so what to waste it on now lol
Home win for my lot tomorrow at home to Spurs? Anyone wanna step up and make a prediction?

Stick al your winnings on Neil lennon accusing everyone in Scotland of helping Rangers win the league before the end of the season................ooooh wait !
#33
Was hoping both teams scored for you, congrats boydent
#34
Well done OP.
I would have done the same, for £1 stake id call that a result...even though it could have been a bit more :)
As i said, watch the bookies, esp betfred, slash the odds on this coupon next season!

No. The result would have been the same.
#36
With the OP not being a Gambler & more of just having very small fun bets he did the correct thing.
I like most gamblers would have let it run,but half a loaf is better than no loaf.

Well done OP.
#37
Well stuck my £25 free bet on Reading vs Cardiff the draw, at 12/5 so another £60 :)

Downside is, i've lost a pound lol since i had this weekend's premier league games plus two la liga from the other night and tonight's Championship play-off game as a both teams to score accumulator.......

Oh well, back to Paddy Power and select the prem games again :)
