Another CAR INSURANCE question

Just seen the post on Car Insurance and it got me thinking..

I'm already with Churchill and my insurance is up for renewal soon.. would it be posible to get a new policy with Churchill and therefore qualify for a cashback via quidco - or do I have to just renew and lose out?

I know it would pay me to shop around and get a new policy with someone else and quidco cashback.. but I was just wondering if it's possible and if anyone has done it

Churchill will send you a renewal and it is really hard to pay that through quidco, I've tried on others.
So, I suggest you checkout Confused.com or some other site and choose another cheaper option.
Then compare those to quidco cash back and sometimes it is better to pay a little extra but get a large cashback.

The only other thing to do (if married or with partner) get a new quote in the other persons name and buy through quidco.

Hope this helps

Erm. Sorry. But your advice isn't the best.

If you wish to go through Churchill again next year, when your renewal comes through ring them up and tell them not to renew. Then, go online and start a new policy with Churchill online with your start date being the day of cancellation of your old policy. All sorted.

Tesco did a £50 cashback offer a while back, was a small note that if you were due to renew in the next two months you would be entitled to it. Took them over 4 months of hassling but I finally got a nice cheque from them eventually :)

Go with one which has all their call centres in this country. It's no good all these companies taking business out of the UK

Captain Hook,

Have a look here.

I did just as you are requesting, saved a packet. Just remember quidco rates are like a yo yo, so shop around.

I just organised car insurance for my dad. I got a fantastic quote through liverpool victoria, but found that quidco didn't have them on their merchants list. which I was a bit disappointed about. Someone on MSE told me about topcashback - very highy rated cashback company and much the same as quidco - who offered £45 cashback and it tracked within hours.
The rates of cashback and merchants vary on topcashback and quidco so it is worth checking them both out, one may be significantly higher than the other.

Thanks for everyone for taking the time to reply - No harm in giving it a try I guess
