Seems a good deal Sassie, around £80 everywhere else, need to get a good memory card with it though. Ideally, you should go for a camera with a lithium battery though, will look now for you

Yes, it has face detection (red box)
A lithium is a flat battery which you charge through the mains:thumbsup:
AA batteries are ok if you use rechargeable batteries

didnt really want a mains charged one, they may be better bet then you need to buy a few, or do they last a really long time

just cheaper than buying AA batteries, have you got any rechargeable batteries as you can just use these? Rechargeable seem to last longer than normal batteries:)

yes we only use rechargables here, so plenty about, her last camera was a kodak and used a funny battery like two stuck together and charged via a dock and it was crap

Tell that if she wants she won't get.

Ask her to phrase it 'I would like'...:whistling:

Sorry, I have a 4 yr old daughter and all I hear is 'I want I want I want'.

She soon started saying 'I would like' when she realised that shouting 'I would like to be let out of he shed' had a better success rate than 'I want to be let out of the shed'.

got this camera the other week for our hols and we think it is very good. we've got a 4gb sdhc card for it but think it would take higher (but don't quote me on that!). only downside is that it appears to eat batteries but we use rechargeables.

I see the AA battery has already been discussed, but personally i would go for one with a battery pack, as they last so much longer, and, if you are going on holiday or something, then you can by replacements off ebay fairly cheaply. I got 2 batteries and a charger for a Fujifilm F10 for £20. Not that they have been used, because it has a 500 photo battery life, and has lasted a 2 week holiday on the same battery.

that camera will do the job! but it will be no where near 12mp. they put that number on there to make it sound good, but realistically, you wont get more than a 7mp output.
If you can go any higher, the Lumix range is very good. I think the FS62 and FS7 come in pink

also, would definitely go for a battery pack.. batteries are a pain. Even rechargeables will struggle after a goods days use.

have just bought this for my daughter, nice colour of pink, looks like a great deal, really pleased
