Hello,

I've been thinking of taking out a contract with vodafone.
What i'm looking at is a 24 month, 10 quid a month contract with a 'free' LG Viewty thrown in.

Would i be right in thinking Quidco would pay out at 90 quid??
£90 for a contract (pay monthly) phone sale

Also would i be able to use this, it wouldn't invalidate cashback? ( from vouchercodes.com)
Free Underwater camera on all 24mth mobile contracts at Vodafone
Date Added: 15th Oct 2009 | End Date: 31st Oct 2009
uwcamera3
(after trying, for some reason it's saying i can't apply this to my order on the vodafone site)

I've never had a contract so it's all new to me, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i took out a £10/mo contract with vodafone a couple months back, quidco does pay the £90, and i did try that underwater camera voucher but it didnt work i in the end got a £50 lastminute.com voucher, which i sold on ebay for £35 once i recieved it. The £90 quidco is currently validated and im awaiting payment which i guess ill expect to in my bank sometime in the next month or two...

thanks for that, will bear it in mind, same sort of problem with BT, bunch of ***** they are!
still debating, 10 quid p/m is more than i pay now on PAYG but taking into account new phone and cashback plus any freebies i can get on top it may be worth it.

borg i had the choice of payg or contract, and 100min/500txt was adequit for me so i chose using these grounds

10x24month = £240
Minus £90 quidco = £150
Minus £50 lastminute.com voucher = £100 (although in real times the voucher sold for 35)
Minus retail price of phone £130 = -£30 (30 profit)

in real terms the profit equates to about £15 since the voucher sold for 35 not 50....i guess you could say it costs me £115 for the 2 years, as the phone came free so should make up the overal expense of the contract though, but even 115 over 24month is £4.80/month which is rediculously cheap lol

Yeah i can see that. I may hold out for a decent promo code though as that lastminute one has expired. None offered on the 10 quid do it for me, but might get the Viewty and sell it, they're still making good money.
Which phone did you go for, and what do you think of it?

w595, i like it alot, its a walkman phone, but i always have my ipod touch with em for the music library since i need the 32gb is offers lol, but still a nice simple sturdy phone, looks sleek too :D the viewty looks a bit girly lol

Yeah there's not one of them i really want to be honest so will probably sell it and keep my old one. It's hard to find a phone that's gives as good a signal reception as an old Sagem phone i had, but now they've sold up i can't get anymore.
Tempted by the Genio Pro when it comes out though.

Cheers for your views.

meh the w595 works fine, great signal so far anyway, to be fair i couldnt really ask much more from a phone, i dont need an iphone/andriod anyway since i have my ipod touch with me usually for the apps side of things
