As much as I think grabit works well, iI really dont like the fact you cant pause separate downloads without removing them.

SABnzbd

Takes a bit of getting used to as it's browser based but light years ahead of Grabit.

If you're just doing nzb's, then I'd go with alt binz also.

I don't see the relevance of your post but even so you should have signed up to Astraweb Here

Ouch, should have signed up for their $11 a month unlimited downloads, personally I now use nzblistings they do a package at £6 a month, may be a tad slower than others but I reckon its my connection as we have developed noticable line noise on calls.
#15
Yeah I know, but I just use Hotfile, Rapidshare or Megaupload, To be honest I dont even know how to use Grab It. Using Jdownloader just seems so much simple.

this one is a better deal IMHO

$10 full speed over a 500 day retention SSL and internal search and NZB creator. Used them for about 8 or nine years (apart from about 8 months with Astraweb - and usenetserver is deffo better than them.

Really well, Sabnzbd works well, I haven't had any luck with event ghost, but all I do is remote to the server, open the renamer and press go. All done.

It's not fully automated, but remoting in and manually using therenamer is a lot quicker than opening the source and destination folders and manually dragging and dropping them in the correct place.

Another plus side, which I hadn't even thought of when I wanted to do it, is that the PC doesn't need to be on while downloading.

I dropped the full automation side a while back too when I needed to do some tweaking I just left it in a similar state to yours right now. It's something I'll get back to when I get chance.

Yeah, It's not that important tbh.

Touch wood though the server and everything that goes with it has gone really well. Best thing I've done for a long time, and an awful lot better than a 2 bay NAS I was looking at spending £150 on

PC / Server... something must be on to run it surely?
#21
Yeah, the server is on 24/7, but I was using my PC (with altbinz) to download, then moving the stuff over to the server, this way the PC doesn't need to be on, I add the NZBs using my laptop and the server does the rest

just tried sabnzbd and found it really poor and you still cant pause individual downloads.

grabit is much better imho

anyway, how do I delete my account from sabnzbd as they now have my astra / nzbmatrix login details?

cheers

You host sabnzbd so all the account details are just on the PC you set it up on.

Can't you just change priorities of downloads rather than pausing any of them?

If you are just using nzb files (from nzbs.org for example), try alt binz, does all the unraring for you too (most of the time!)

grabit does that too. I just wanted one where you can pause individual downloads but can live without it I guess as grabit is far easier to use than that sabnzbd (its like something from 10 years ago!)

thanks anyway guys
