Any bought from Orange.co.uk recently?

Just wanted to know if anyone has managed to dodge the Orange £10 top-up on their phones recently?

Seems like it no longer comes on? It used to come on when they did some maintenance at night but now it does not.

Within the past month anyone managed to dodge the £10 top-up?

Sometimes its optional to buy a phone with £10 topup. Orange hardly make any money from Pay As You Go phones as most people unlock and use on other networks. Therefore you have to now buy £10.00 up or more. Like I said before Orange sometimes allow to you buy a phone without top up, usually near the holiday season.

In store you still need to buy £10 top up unless the sales assistance know you or are nice :)

My sister didn't need to, she just put an orange sim in her current phone and they said as she's already on orange she didn't need to buy the £10. So if you have any free orange sims just do that.

It depends how long waas she with Orange ?

Over the phone or in store it is OK, but I meant over the internet only.

At night sometimes when they are doing some changes to the website, you don't have to top up £10. Anyone managed to do this recently?

Yeah, ofcourse, it wouldn't make sense. But sometimes they have the £10 phones without £10 topup, so combined with quidco it works out to be £5 for a brand new phone, that can be used as a spare.
