How many miles has it done and has it had a timing belt done before?
To be honest you are as well getting it done while they are in there, unless its been done recently.

If you are sure its been done 5,000 miles ago then I would leave it.
Should last about 30,000 to 40,000 miles

if they have to take the am/timing belt off to change the pump (i expect they do) then the timing needs to be done.

Cinquecento Sporting Water Pump Replacement guide here. Any good?

http://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento-seicento-guides/91397-cinquecento-sporting-water-pump-replacement.html

I'd do it myself if I were you using the guide but all depends on what tools you have and if you do DIY mechanics.

Re-use the timing belt and coolant and all you have to get is a new water pump which looking at eBay quickly would only be £20 maximum and that's for a genuine FIAT one.
