Have an interview as a communications operator working for our local council. Have been told it will be approx 45 - 60 interview, straightforward question/answer session with 3 people.

Anyone have any council interview advice please? what kind of questions will I be asked? Trying to rack my brains going through all the different things that can come up.

Does the job you are being interviewed for have a person specification?
Yes tried to look at all that. Just thought there was brobably some real standard ones that always come up or there may be some that would never have thought of! who knows!

Icebreaker is normally a bit about yourself. Other questions will be structured around the person specification and those points being assessed by interview.

Favourites here are questions about managing workloads and then there is always the equal opportunities question!

Only other ones I could think of are more service specific and may be scenarios of "What would you do if......"

Probably not that much help to you but good luck for your interview.
I've only ever had 2 interviews wet my pants both times. Was a good ice breaker though "soz about the wet patch guys i forgot to wear my nappy"
