Any electricians about? (or knowledgable people!)

Hopefully someone here can help solve my current mystery....

We recently had problems in the roof, water got in but we boarded it up and our USELESS landlord is meant to be getting a roofer round at some point (not holding my breath). Anyway water got into somewhere and kept tripping out our lights. Electrician came round and all has been fine about about 2-3 weeks.

Came home today and the lights were tripped out. No lights had been left on at all in the day. Flicked switch a couple of times but it keeps tripping after a couple of mins.

Please help diagnose this problem, remember no lights were on when the fuse box must have tripped in the day.

Thanks everyone x:thumbsup:

EDIT

Oh and can anyone tell me why my Quidco transactions have changed from payment expected in JUNE to AUGUST, SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER?!!!!?!!

I think the safest option is for your landlord to get an electrician in. Not worth the risk if you don't know what you're doing.

Has the Electrician checked everything out first time round?

Apparantly!

I was just hoping that there was an easy solution to this problem somehow, but it looks as though im going to have to try and get the landlord to get the electrician again. Last time it took 10 days of living in pitch black before he got him round :-(

If its tripping then there is a fault somewhere that needs to be checked.

Is it just the lighting thats tripping (Just that one trip switch?)

Be demanding.

Don't touch the electrics yourself, it is very dangerous (from experience!) and the trip wouldn't go without reason.

Yes its just the lights thankfully. So you think i need to get the electrician again? Is there anyway I can test to see which light is doing it? like turn them on one by one? actually that wont matter will it coz it originally tripped when no lights were even on.

Dont worry I would never touch anything to do with the electrics, I have very bad luck at everything.

I wouldn't touch the electrics, As said if its tripping then it means theres a fault.

If its the lights then I'd imagine its due to the water damage you mentioned before, Its clearly not been checked properly and could be dangerous.

On a side note, You seem to have sod all luck, It can only get better (They say everything comes in 3's!) :)
