Any good places to visit in Tenerife?

Going early next year and after things to do.
Only going for 7 days as its all me and husband could get off work.
We will be based local to Los Cristianos,

Main thing we want to do is Loro Prague, we know its over an hour away from us, but our kids will love the whale and dolphin show.

Is there anything else local? has anyone been to Los Cristianos? any nice places to eat and so on? x

Loro Parque is good, so is the water park in near los cristinaos called Siam Park.
If you want to do something slightly different, you could drive up to Mount Teide - which will probably be covered in snow at that time of year.
Can't remember any of the restaurant names- sorry :)

Ooh thank you, I was looking at the Siam park, Forgot to mention my kids are or will be by then, 7,6 and 3, so I feel they would whinge up and down the mountain, as much as it probably has lovely views up there.
Thank you for replying though :) x

went to Tenerife this August for the first time and it was amazing, stayed in the Bahia Principe which was fantastic and would definately recommend it, we went to Loro parque and it was awesome one of the best days out that weve had, my children are 6 and 1 and they enjoyed it so much with all the animals, the sea lions, dolphins and killer whales were amazing and the penguins on an iceberg when its approx 34 degrees outside is beyond belief hope that you and your family have fun and enjoy it.

my 5 yr old DD loves the film Jaws so the Loro praque will be right up her street with the whales and dolphins.

When we look on the Loro Praque website it doesnt give a price for children under 6, Did you pay for the children? As when i go into Thomsons to pay off holiday they were trying to charge for my son who will only be 3 when we go? Just wondering what to expect :)

Yeah we had one of the best days at Loro Parque and also Siam - dont waste your money buying tickets for the other waterpark - think its called Aqualand - no comparison compared to Siam Park

Also get your tickets from one of the vendors down by the beach in Los Cristianos as cheaper - DONT BUY FROM YOUR HOTEL! They will tell you they have special offers bla bla but it wont be.

TONS of restaurants and you really will enjoy yourselves. We done the watersports at Los Cristianos - we wanted to do the parasailing and that mental banana ride so paid about 80 euros for both for the two of us.

Enjoy yourselves!

This is the price for the twin ticket which also includes the bus to the parks.

Adults : 65.50 €
Children (6-11 years) : 43.00 €

Pasted from Siam park site selling the twin tickets, so looks like my 3 yr old will be free?
But then to get into siam park on single ticket they have to pay full price like my other 2 kids?
Confused.com lol

Are the vendors down the beach cheaper than buying from the parks website? Sorry for all questions, just trying to do cheapest option :)

haha.. unlikely BB I cant swim..waterparks are no fun for me :(

Its never to late to learn - maybe get involved with your oldest daughter with some swimming lessons? I have a friend who only learned two years ago age 38!

OP you really will have a lovely time - lots of sunshine!! We were staying at a timeshare in Golf de Sur - was gorgeous. One of our friends couldnt use her week and kindly gave it to us, so just got flights. But..........that part of Tenerife was so quiet and we got bus into Los Cristianos most days. Shops great there and beach is busy but HUGE!

Thank you, I really hope we do, Will be kids 1st trip abroad so they cant wait already. We are just on outskirts of Los Cristianos, been told its mega quiet where we are, but staying on a Thomsons family resort, so loads to do on site too.

Jellybaby, My mum has hated swimming for years, no confidence at all, never been able to swim, she went to Egypt last year and couldnt go snorkelling with my Dad because she wasnt confident enough, She has just learnt to swim at the age of 58, and she is so much more confident that this year when they go to Egypt she can go see the fish :)
