Tonsilitis? or maybe a throat infection of some sort.

See the doctor and they will probably give her some antibiotics :)

Sounds like mumps it's going around my work take her 2 the docs

it sounds like the gland in her throat is swollen from fighting the infection...

Ibruprofen should relieve pain and swelling.

Warm tea with honey or hot lemon drinks will help relieve it too.

If you are at all concerned call the emergency doctor and get her seen tonight.

Hope she feels better soon.

This sounds like tonsillitis. Doctors visit is required.

To help with swallowing, drink pineapple juice before meals and to soothe throat.

Check her for rashes while you're at it.

It's probably just tonsillitis as others have said however.

Just ring nhs direct now for piece of mind:thumbsup: This is hardly the place to ask imo. Surprised nobody has said she will fall down dead within the next 10 minutes if you don't make her drink a warm shot of whiskey whilst standing on her head:w00t:

I have to say, you are clearly worried about this and you'd be much better speaking to a nurse/doctor at NHS 24 than the well intentioned advisors on here. It's 9.45 now - make the call - peace of mind if nothing else
