If all is good and safe I am due to be going to Hurghada soon with the hubby and kids (aged 10 and 11) - any advice on trips or what we can do besides eating, drinking and swimming all day!!

My top tip for Egypt is to wear rubber gloves when handling their money.............it is the dirtiest smelliest thing you could imagine. lol

yup i'm afraid upset tummy is par for the course. I would get yr head round the amount of hard sell and begging you are going to come across to, best to start as you mean to go on and be firm from the start, it gets on yr pips but if you give them an incling yr weakening they'll hound you for ages, dont know why it has to be like that because it was probably the only negative thing i have to say about egypt and i have been twice and it was the same both times

dont take immodium!! use the local stuff, much better. I reckon its the money also that gives the squits. we found hand sanitizer to work great.
Hurghada has got a new town area and a newish marina, really nice and you dont get pestered to death. The marina has a smallish fair type thing going on and they were filming a tv program there on one of the boats when we were there.
Try the quad bikes, but go during daylight hours, they are brillaint. There is also camel and horse riding and an evening at a bedouin village which is all pretty nice. The diving is fantastic and something you all could do as a family. try Aquarius divers if you decide and ill give you my details to get a discount if you pm me

Looking like it will be the start of something new soon..........Mubarak due to address the nation anytime now and is expected to immediately step down.

Oh well.............he's refused to step down as President and the Egyptians are raging, so i expect the situation will now get worse.
