Is there anyone on here that could possibly price my system, even if I wasn't selling it on here (which would be after 7 days) ;)
I know there would be people on here that would hunt down all the parts cheaper but what if I was to sell in my local paper, I could get a good price??

Ok system is as follows:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
Foxconn BLACKOPS X48 Socket 775 DDR3 7.1 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
Pioneer 22x DVD±RW DL & RAM SATA Black Drive
600gb Sata Seagate HDD
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5GHz Socket 775 1333FSB 4MB L2 Cache Processor
Corsair 4gb (2x2gb) Ddr3 1333mhz Xms3 Memory Kit
Galaxy Black Mid Tower Case with Blue Bubble Light LED Strip

Rep will be waiting guys

thanks

Regardless of what its worth or costs to build I'd say people were willing to pay £200-£250 for it as people often dont care about good quality ram or cases etc just want the cheapest option.

id say around 50 notes for the ram

£200 for that level of kit is laughable. Try asking about double that in local paper - just hope they let you have enough characters to explain the spec.

I don't really think so, £200 for that spec :whistling::whistling:

If you fancy separating and selling on here, I wouldn't mind a price for the graphics card.

I would recommend selling the whole thing around £400 - 500, that's a rough estimate I haven't looked up how much it would be new etc.

Yeah a local paper or a university ad you can ask more and perhaps get some interest but selling online people will price up the stuff then offer you far less than that saying its because you dont have any warranty etc.

Considering 2 years ago I was selling a Q6600 PC with 4 gigs ram and 500 gig hd and Vista Ultimate new and was offered like £200 for it and £250 at most it shows you what people like to pay and when people ask to price up a pc here they get told in the similar region.

Fallen on hard times?

I'd be half tempted to buy your RAM and pair it up with my 4gb of 1600mhz XMS3... Though I checked my account this morning so that's a bad idea

Nah just going to downgrade, have this system and not using it to its full :)

The point is, why downgrade and not really have much money left over?? Might aswel have the potential there in a quality system.

Might even get a cheap netbook :)

You never get what they are worth one of my £1,200 system is worth nothing now another one of my +£1,000 builds is also worthless. My q6600 with Ati xt 1950 and 4gig 1066 memory and Audigy 2 Zs platinum Asio is worth next to nothing. :lol (I've wasted loads of money on them all home built)

Your cpu is £70 2nd hand ebay. A brand new 1gig hd 5750 can be had for £93. 4gig of xms3 £72-£98 (quite difficult to price as memory prices are very volatile and XMS3 is very limited in description to find true current value without part number.

dvd writer , 600gb (standard) hard drive , paper thin generic case, not worth much more than £70 for all 3 (specialized 10k or 15k 600gig will be worth some better money if you can find someone that would part with the money) As a previous poster said though lots of people just want a basic system and don't want to be paying more than £200-£250 for it.

The mobo bit hard to guess price as not many for sale but getting on now.

Actually I remember now I had one of these in my basket and forgot to check out and it went out of stock @ £77.99 brand new delivered
