lol, no where near you, i'm right down on the south coast of this "fine" country & i didn't have an Almera in today for an mot.

lol the garage was going to charge £160 for putting a new bearing on is that bad, my dad reckons its terrible.

front or rear one, if its front thats prolly not far off the mark £130ish, depending on their labour rate. As they have to strip the front suspension down to get the bearing hub off & then the bearing needs to be pushed out & a new one pushed back in & everything put back together.

yea its the front, my dad phoned few local parts dealers and was quoted 26 inc for brand new bearing and shop owner said that its quite an easy job to do and someone who knows a bit about cars could do it

like anything if you know what your doing its easy & for me it is an easy job, but your dad will need access to a press if he was to do it to remove & refit the bearing, or he could remove the hub off & take it to your local garage & get them to press the bearing in. Save yourself few squid :thumbsup:
