your not listening to what im saying, its not BLOCKED according to the seller, theres no signal due to a motherboard fault, he says it will be fine once fixed

hes got 900* and all 100 % feedback

Sorry you got scammed, if of course that is what happened.

Maybe you can change imei, not sure how possible that is with the 3gs, but, it is 'illegal' , but so is downloading cracked apps, but people don't seem to care about that,

Failing that, maybe it will work in another country, not sure how that pans out these days.

Motherboard fault does sound like a convenient blag to me

Seller also covers himself by saying he bought it in that condition. A simple mistake on his part or a good excuse for having stolen goods in the unlikely event he gets rumbled.

He probably knows repairing a motherboard is either impossible or very hard so it is going to be hard to prove categorically that it is a stolen phone.

Also think about it, if it was a cheap and viable repair im sure he would have had it repaired himself and sold it for more money.

Sorry dude sounds like uv been had. You live and learn.

silly me for ever doubting ebay, ring the network provider and give them the imei
banned#10
but the guy said its a hardware fault and that its NOT blocked

if it is barred though, just how illegal is changing an imei cause it looks easy to do :)
#11
very very illegal to do and very very easy to get caught

"I Brought The Phone In This Condition And When Opened Back A Couple Of The Connectors Will Not Connect As Damaged Which

Is Proberly The Cause Of No Signal "

He knows you cant repair it or it's gonna be too expensive to be worthwhile, he says "probably the cause of no signal". He is covering himself in the unlikely event you are able to prove it's stolen
banned#13
you reckon hes being honest though, he says once its fixed it will WORK with signal ?
banned#14
alright thank, a place near me does a no fix no fee , repair policy, so ill get him to have a look, find out one way or tother
#15
i wouldn't buy anything off someone who uses "Brought" instead of "bought" and who types like a moron

I Agree You Got Scammed Though Sorry Mate
#16
Even if it is a motherboard fault, it's still probably only good for parts.

Replacing two tiny connectors is going to need someone highly skilled in soldering. Your average iPhone repairman will only know how to open it and replace one part or another. And whose to say it's not the traces on the motherboard which are broken?

Like this: http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f320/RDCXBG/Repair/SmallTraces01.jpg

Good luck repairing those minuscule little tracks you see in the picture. Easily broken even by scratching the motherboard but a damn tricky job to fix.

By all means, get it checked out on a no-fix-no-fee basis but you may just end up reselling it (just like the guy you bought it off did)

Unlikely because if you choose to sell you will know it is an unviable repair and you would have to sell it as such.

Break the cycle, just write it off as a lesson learnt.

yeah but everything else works perfect, and its in a good cosmetic condition

the only thing wrong is the signal
#20
check if its not stolen first. I very much doubt its not working because of a internal fault.

If its stolen, get a refund and bin the phone.
#21
Phone up one of the networks and ask if it's blocked. easy enough to do and will answer the question. Contact eBay and the seller if it is.
Sounds like a stolen and blocked phone to me.
#22
Also i don't know why you believe the seller.

He Puts A Capital For Every Word In A Sentence, Even The Ones Horribly Miss-Spelt.
#23
Yes, if it does turn out to be nicked, you should try and get the seller to refund the money.

I dont think its stolen, looking at his feedback he seems to be a dealer, that strips iphones down to repair before selling on. so he could have damaged the mobo.

example, item numbers 290563804325 and 290564527718

yeah mate i think your right , hopefully simple fix

the second ebay number was the one i bought :)

Why Did You Feel The Need To Capitalise Every Letter In Your First Post Op?

If You Look Its Only The Wording From The Listing And Its Simply Because He Copy And Pasted The Ebay Listing, Would You Really Expect Someone To Type It All Out? I Doubt Anyone Would Deliberately Go To The Extra Effort Of Deliberately Adding A Capital To Every Word Without Good Reason

Look
