Ok where is the bell housing - I can see the battery, the radiator etc

Its not even my car its a patient stuck in the car park at work and I have tried to jump start it but its no go and she has been told the tap the starter motor

Select 1st gear, release the handbrake. Rock the car backwards, push against the door pillar, until you hear a click. It will start then.

If it's a manual. :thumbsup:

So guessing it doesn't start? Do the lights work? If you try and start the car do the lights dim?

Yeah I did, I tried to jump start it up and down the car park but no luck. I had to give up - but I tried my best

If the lights don't work then its probably the battery. Well thats the first thing to check.
