The account number (usually an 8 or 9 digit number) and sort code (6 digit number), nothing else about your account. Not sure how to find out which moderators are online (quickly) now.

I'm fairly sure you need to provide your bank name & address, sort code, your account number - I'll double check that but I think that's right.

thanks, ill trust you its exactly what i thought, someone not on here a while back told me the full card number but didn't deal as i can top up my phone using that and don't want people eating into my debt futher than it is lol.

No, definately not card number (and definately definately not the three digit number on the back or your pin!)
J_B is right, the bank name and address is sometimes needed (but then can be looked up from the sort code anyway so you're not giving away and extra or dangerous information).

i gave the sortcode, account number, branch number, my name, my address, and bank address, just used a savings card with a £1 on it and no overdraft to be on safe side as i know the pm system isn't on a secure server, not saying any members are dishonest, prob best just using that card for bank transfers in future if it works as the debit card is risky with the amount of stuff you can do with it.

I bought something off here yesterday via bank transfer from someone with a different bank from me and all that was needed was sort code, account number and name of person that account belongs to. Wouldnt bother with address of bank etc as not needed

What I mean kitty, is that if you go into a branch of the same bank as the person who's account you are putting money in, it will show instantly in their account.

I personally could understand that as its cash credit, although doing it from another bank i suppose it would act like a personal cheque or Bacs that takes about 3-5 days to clear.
