Have a couple of questions for people to answer.
1) Have heard that if you enter comps on line ie. like this morning say like max amount of time 5, you only get put in the pot for 1 out of 3 enters?
2) Have been a loyal gadget show watcher and competition enter. Have enterd via txt, landline and by post a couple of time( done 25 entries one week) I check the web site every couple of weeks and from i can see there has never ever been a winner from northern Ireland. is this just we are not lucky or is there something in it, as the prizes are delivered via a transet van (the cost) i Have email the presenters (No answer) have emailed the channel 5 tv company (No answer) even found the competition company that run it and emailed them of course no answer. Anyone full me in.

And no smart **** remarks please!

given the size of the amazing prizes they give away on the gadget show,Im pretty sure that the delivery cost isnt a concern-just the luck of the draw there hasnt been a winner in northern ireland for sure

my dad won a £35,000 suped up saleen mustang once (from the front cover of midnight club los angeles) and he's not even serious about entering online comps just did a bit here and there, he's pretty lucky with those things generally though, kept it for 6months and moved it on

but if you look at the number of winners in uk Mainland from the start. and considering that the last couple of comps they have been given away a chover driver limo to the gadget show live. how would they do this from northern ireland??? And also i have checked from the start of the comp years ago there has never been a winner from northern ireland. There realy should be by now on averages?

if sum1 in ireland won it they would probs fly them over and then put them in the limo to the show, would just be luck ,they will have there terms and conditions which will no doubt include the northern irish being allowed to enter and legally they will not be allowed to disclude them as such

stop wasting your money on 25 entries though complete waste of money, enter once and if your lucky ur lucky..

ive entered a few times, its an epic prize, they showed n one show a scottish kid in the highlands won who lived up by sum random loch so i hardly think there being prejudice towards yoru location

The Gadget Show 'competition' is the worst kind to enter. It's a revenue generating lottery for ch5.
They don't pay the full retail value for the prizes, most of it comes from the manufacturers/sponsors.

They make the competition as easy as possible to enter ie p*** easy question, premium rate numbers. A nice little earner for them!

Of course there has to be a winner so that also ensures the popularity of the competition (and your lower odds!). They get between 1 to 1.5 million viewers (according to BARB) so you've got to ask yourself how many of those will enter the competition? 10%, 20%, 50%? I reckon it must be quite high but the only people who know will be ch5 and I bet they don't publish the figures!
