I know I'm very new here and all :) But I might be interested in something for my photography. Want to get back into doing more (been off for a while) and could be to have something nice looking and easy to use.

Let me know if You might like/want to do something like this and I'll give you the details of what I've got so far :)

There are several ways to do this - but the best way is using an open source package like Gallery. I'm sure the OP would agree on that - and its probably not what he is offering here.

Is this the sort of thing you want?

If it is, give me a PM and I will set one up for you. Its very easy to manage and the slideshows you can create are a nice touch.

Had gallery and liked it but then I moved away from Linux and never tried it in windows. Will have a look and see if it works there. I'm using photoshop lightroom for the photos (but I did preffer gallery)

I was thinking more on the likes of the main page. I have a blog atm but that doesn't look good for a main page ...

The best and easiest way to learn (IMHO) is to just play with a page and see how it looks. Best thing to start (again IMHO) is to get a webpage design you like and edit to suit using html software. (Plenty of online freebies out there!) Ive got about 60 or so freebies to get you started on a project Im in the middle of at the mo. Have a look at www.wassup.biz - Plenty of HTML reference (as well as CSS which is likely to be too complicated for you at this stage - but highly recommended to use) and free templates. (Please bare in mind this project is in process and not finished - but its being created for people to learn!)

Help yourself and have a play....

Ive used Coffeecup in the past. Not sure about how good this one is - but its free! http://www.coffeecup.com/free-editor/

I use Dreamweaver for my projects - which I would recommend - but not if you are paying for it!!!! But the joys of using it are many fold and make light work of complete site changes using templates and also use of extensions that can be imported for use. The site I mentioned www.wassup.biz was created in about 30 minutes - though obviously content takes a while. I am talking about just the framework (ie pages and menus) The rest only you can fill!!!!!

Edit: Thinking again - you can download a fully functional Dreamweaver with 30 day usage! There are a few ways to extend that.... but the less said the better!

Hi, I am looking for a website designed, I have been struggling to understand OS Commerce for sometime, its for a back up to my ebay sales, I have the hosting and domain in place.

I know you said non-profit, well we dont actually make much profit as ebay eats all our margins currently!

Would of course be more than happy to credit you for site design and use our name on your portfolio.

We can supply you with some lovely japenese springs body shop talc, its very popular at the moment!

knewbold,

Have you tried local charitable organisations? A good example is the Scouts - there must be a local Scout Unit near you, who would jump at the chance of having a website. (I know, I've just done one for our local unit & I've now got most units in the district emailing me asking to do one for them as well).
